FCC Gets Pearl Harbored on Internet Neutrality

The last link of the previous blog entry deserves it own blog entry comment:

This too for its concluding comment:

"In our times, the judiciary has increasingly become a majoritarian force. It alone, it seems, can prevent narrow, self-interested factions from getting the government to serve unseemly and even shameful ends. And so it falls to the judiciary to stop this latest travesty."
Didn't we once have a majoritarian force representing us somewhere.  At least making trade off deals with special interest with some balancing nods to the public majority expression of the vote that got them into office?  Now that mojoritarian force is working for a minority special interest.  The court of last resort is becoming our first resort.  Perhaps we should be voting for judges to represent us?

Maybe not:  Moore!

Where art thou Diogenes?

First: Notice that this letter appears in the news on 21 Nov.  The week of Thanksgiving.  Perhaps the annual News Release time frame that gets the least notice of any news released on any given Friday of the year.  The least visible Blockbuster News egg laid in a time frame by the Annual Turkey and left behind for nobody to see because they were preparing or traveling prior to Thanksgiving, enjoying the the holiday and the day after out shopping or recovering.  Followed by a Saturday and Sunday that make anything from last Tuesday old news for this coming Monday.

Hey,  its a business model.  Hide news in plain sight when nobody is looking?  No, its AG Schneiderman that certainly chose the release date.  Perhaps it is a clever way to avoid derailment of publication by powerful Public and Private interests that would rather not have this come to public attention.  Clever use to escape their attention by using their business model method to hide news from public attention?  Perhaps this would not even be published if the Powers That Be got wind of it.

Pearl Harbor happened on a slow day at a given time when nobody was looking.  It became a day to live in infamy.

The job of an Attorney General is to see through the fog thrown up to obscure the transparency of truth.  His letter references a long and thorough analysis preparation.

Good job AG Schneiderman!
"In May 2017, researchers and reporters discovered that the FCC’s public comment process was being corrupted by the submission of enormous numbers of fake comments concerning the possible repeal of net neutrality rules. In doing so, the perpetrator or perpetrators attacked what is supposed to be an open public process by attempting to drown out and negate the views of the real people, businesses, and others who honestly commented on this important issue. Worse, while some of these fake comments used made up
names and addresses, many misused the real names and addresses of actual people as part of the effort to undermine the integrity of the comment process. That’s akin to identity theft, and it happened on a massive scale."
