Someone who cares much for me got me to buy some vitamin pills. I opened the container to find huge pills inside. I chocked them down for a couple of days. They stuck in my throat with a most unpleasant feeling. I drank water to get them the rest of the way down. Then learned to drink water first to ease the path.
She says I do not like to read signs (labels). Wrong, but how can I say it to here. It is not like I see a label and look away quickly because I abhor reading it, makes me sick or something. There are just so many. Some relevant, some not. I operate more on pull reading rather than push reading. If I am looking for some thing I will look for the sign.
She also says I do not ask for directions. True when I am standing in Hungary as I was last week and have in my hand an iPhone that shows my location within 30 feet or less. Close enough to know where I am and where to go. So, it passes up an opportunity to have a social interaction with an Hungarian farmer.

I will allow that to some extent she is right.
Flip side: I sometimes do not do things and make decisions that are the best and their are better ways if I try not to be handicapped but the way I always do them...and what is that?
My way.
I try to do my best, I can always do better.
Doing better is more important than trying to do the best.
My way should be better, not best.

It would seem logical that when a Concept has value more in the structure of the concept itself rather that its association with any physical thing of value then the good old term "Market Share" and all of its associated concepts that are mostly thought of in terms of and in relationship to physical goods would apply.
Therefore how about this expression to describe it:
"Conceptual Market Share"
Not a popular term as far as google is concerned. Just one page of hits when in quotes.

Left and Right --- Cooperation and Competition..Property and Rights
One of the joys of returning from a month long tour of Europe, mostly by bike, is not only:

I normally spend a lot of time doing that. However after a long time away I have to "speed read" my few favorite sites to find what I have missed. Discover the few and delve into them.

I came back to this post to add this as a biggy that jumped out in my speed reading that I have already talked about but having read the "Emerging Left" and its equally illuminating reader comments I want to add something here.
Big Data: Big Data is enabled by Big Hardware, Big Software and a Big Data Base. The application of "These Big Things" is simply two big to be a huge monolithic enterprise entity. For example: The producers and providers of the Big Data products are operating in a cooperative fashion that looks more like the left in recognition of how all the various "partners" contribute and have an integrating stake in the broader scope of the domain.
Is Big Data a stealth model of Cooperation taking the upper hand (an equal hand?) in the Cooperation/Competition == Left/Right relationship.
We are certainly seeing the most adverse effects of non-Cooperation being foisted upon us as Competition!
Hmmmm. Is that a revelation or what?
Are we in such a sad state of thinking that we perceive non-Cooperation enshrouded as a desirable Competition strategy model???

If "Good" by definition is related (equal to both) then what is the equation between

Greed: What is it anyhow. This thing called Greed. It deals with accumulation of real and conceptual assets. Money, power. To the extent that accumulation by one sector is a detriment to the greater good? That is my perception. Google says this about Greed.
As our world becomes more conceptual in nature are we not seeing that Greed that once had a physical object capturing nature in history now has transformed into a conceptual capturing Entity? Same old Greed but now aimed at conceptual ownership of limited conceptual things. Limited by design of the conceptual thing.
Money is a conceptual thing. Used to be a physical thing.
Who and what are the New Conceptual Greedy? How do they function? What do they hoard by "ownership" What constitutes ownership of concepts and the associated property rights to use the concept for control purposes and/or prohibit others from use. Ones own exclusive use of a concept.
It is a new Wild West of the Conceptual World. If you can get it and you can hold it by whatever means then it is yours by right of your own power to proclaim and defend the right or your use of the power of the state that has always been under the influence of.....ta da: The rich or the people?

Greed applied to "Conceptual Resources" almost needs a new definition of an old concept that retains all the essential attributes of the old concept as a super-class object Greed but really needs a new name to identify it in a new world where Concepts defined and are as sought after in the information age as physical resources once were and still are.
Greed applied in a conceptual world to our big conceptual super=class objects is a bug in the information structure that sub-optimizes total system function.
What is a big conceptual super-class object?
How about Freedom?
Is the USA a country that is Freedom Greedy?
We do so many things under a banner of owning all the Freedom in the world and the self endowed rights that we associate with it that grant us American Exceptionalism that is not so different than the Greedy Divine Rights of the King. If you can claim it and defend it then it is yours to own regardless of who you attribute as the giver. We really proclaim that we are self-endowed because the concept is self evident. That is our right to ownership and use of our freedom.
Freedom and Greed. The USA is the King of the World because we have through Greed captured the title and therefore the media right to proclaim ourselves the Free-est Country in the World.....Really owned by the Greediest 1% that have captured our freedom and claim it as their own to do as they wish.
They hate us for our Freedom?
Hey, it ain't ours. All the power associated with Freedom belongs to the Greedy that has the power and right to pervert the purity of the concept to their own exclusive ends. I hate them too. What does that make me?

Is that a valid worthwhile view of what could be a nakedly true reality?
What is the role of lower level cooperation for higher level sector greed that captures thing that are more conceptual in nature that becomes at the higher level a dysfunction in the system.
Might cooperation by hyped at a lower level to gain advantage at a higher competitive level under the guise that it is good in the big picture for the controlling system?
Is that free private enterprise?
Capitalism?
Freedom?

Bringing It All Together
A wonderful woman I care so much for has told me about a moment in a movie where the character in a room that would send an interior decorator into violent spasms of mental anguish points to one thing in the room and proudly says: "That brings it all together". Or something like that.
The exact scene and describing it correctly does not matter. The point is that some thing within a context of apparently unrelated other things, can, given a certain view, bring all the other things together in harmony. The key to the structure. The structure of the interior decoration problem domain or a conceptual problem domain.
The key to the puzzle. The one single thing that unlocks the perception. Maybe the missing piece that completes the picture. Maybe a catalyst that is independent of the structure but the picture is not there if the external catalyst is not there to enable recognition. The key can be many different entities. It could even be a key by virtue of its non presence or non-existence. Something outside the box.
I search. I search google. I search myself and my experiences. I search for new experiences to add. I search for new meaning in old experiences. At this point that is a rich domain to search and I do find amazing things there that present new pictures, new understanding.
Ultimately I search for keys. I know them when I see them. At least I pray to myself that I will. Keys found in the past and described by formal methods of information analysis have the characteristics of being one to one mandatory relationships. Built on that can be one to many and many to many. Easy to see in the natural world order. Hard to see in the conceptual structures we have created with our minds that go beyond modeling the natural world or making use of those structures to extend the building of our conceptual world environment.
My brain is what brings it all together. I had a mini stroke. A TIA. Makes me wonder how well my brain is functioning. An MRI, an ingenious collection of things in a tool that functions based on our application of natural physical relationships that we have put together to make a complex tool, will tell if the natural order of the tool that sits on my shoulders is as naturally intact as it should be.
If all the physical properties are as they should be then what I do with them to travel in the conceptual world of the structures that I can create with it should still work pretty well, at least as good as they ever did.
The point of all this is to bring it all together with one thing. That one thing is to write this to see if what is coming out of my mind on the conceptual level is still as good as bringing it all together as it was or if there was some real damage.
The test is a micro level to see if I can get this all typed out without making more than the usual number of typing mistakes, errors in assembling thoughts into coherent sentences, at least in my estimation and finally sentences into more complex conceptual thoughts that bring what I wish to say all together in some meaningful (to me if no one else) relationships.
I intended to bring together a single meaningful relationship in a recent trip from a wide range of inter personal things. To find and hold on to for a long time that one key that has in the past been in so many situations the key to happiness. All different depending on their context (no, won't call it a problem domain here, love is a problem domain but we do not see it that way, there is a better term to define it and way to express it).
I failed to find the key or be the key. However, like the key to understanding money, politics or life in general is there. I hope that the only tool to find it is still working as well as it has been built by nature and me to work.
Consistent with my thinking: The tool is really two things. The rule is that a single thing can never exist alone. Not relating to anything else is the definition of non-existence and it that exists I can't and don't want to go there.
The tool is two things: Mind and heart.
The clinic will look at both these physical things to assess their state and behavior with scanning tools and the judgment of an expert.
I look at the conceptual health of my own mind and heart and conclude that they are still working as well as they did.
Proof in the quality of my check up test, that is what this blog entry is all about: Yes, it is a key that brings it all together, will be if I can understand it tomorrow.
Proof that anyone else can understand it is not necessarily proof that I did not pass my own personal test?
In the end I will just say:::::::
I did the best I could.
And add....
I hope it is as good, (or better if I am progressing and not yet reached the peak that should naturally be at the end) as my best ever was. As good as that may have ever been in any measure of subjective or objective judgment that anyone ever applied to me.

Maybe I Don't Have an NSA Number?
It is easy to think of an NSA file with my name on it as well as files for all other citizens. That is so old school. All the info about me could be assembled in and instant with just a few key identifying elements to conclusively identify me as being me. Maybe that would happen when probable cause has been determined.
Maybe it is just all raw data that has been captured and is in a lock box? Accessed when authorized and then summed up to a target of interest?
It would seem that there is so much more that can be mined from all the raw information that would put the NSA far ahead when the time comes to use the information for mission performance. To discover information from data finding data as in the IBM G2 system.
In the commercial application of Big Data all that raw info is processed to identify me as a consumer target. Individually if I am a candidate to buy a Porsche or an Icon A5 or maybe vote for a particular candidate. Collectively if I like Burger King more than McDonald.
The problem is we don't know what the NSA has and does. It is not a secret, could be guessed at if we put puzzle pieces together. One way to find out is if the NSA did nothing. The plug was pulled on the NSA. Mass death and destruction? The NSA is the only thing that stands between us and that? OTH maybe nobody would know the difference and we could use the money to polish up our world image or have a great party before we are take over by some rag tag bunch of terrorists that kill us all.
Maybe try pulling the plug on a random day or tow each week and using the money to pay off the debt (that really does not exist in the first place, public debt just equals private savings). Pull the plug permanently but still have all the NSA people show up for work every day drink coffee and eat donuts. Let the bad guys still think they are being watched. Kill a few people with a drone once in awhile just to give the impression we know who and where they all are.

Big Data and Privacy
It is obvious that the biggest road block to Big Data is privacy law. Like Right to Privacy.
Just like the biggest roadblock to Banks were laws that prohibited them from doing certain things until lobbying and enough money changed all that.
Banksters established the model on how to play the game where all the money was and how to demolish the road blocks.

They will merely redefine those rights.

What the NSA Has and Does is Secret?

What the NSA has, how it gets it, how it gets it and what it does with it is not Secret.
Not Secret but a puzzle to figure out, understand and take action on. That is exactly what the NSA is in business to do. It is called its Mission.
It is a puzzle to us but easy enough to figure out as pieces are put together. We simply have to apply the same Mission objective and methodologies to figure out the puzzle.
Works for them. Same thing can work for us. Fundamentally it is Group Intelligence. Our group is bigger than theirs. They have money and resources concentrated in their small group. It is comparable to Microsoft having big money and resources to create an operating system. Every hear of Linus Torvalds? Or, Open Source Systems? It is just a large number of smart people working within a conceptual and standards structured framework based on Cooperation instead of Competition.
I am increasingly seeing Cooperation and Competition as two fundamental conceptual models that drive everything we do. They are not binary concepts, black and white, but Yin and Yang models depending on the situation to combine and produce answers to the problem domain. Neither is exclusive not dominant. They must not be or the effectiveness of the model of their combination potential is decreased accordingly. They must go hand in hand like two people in love.

In order to figure out the NSA puzzle of what they have, how they get it and what they do with it: Simply look at the commercial application of Big Data. It depends on Big Internet. No secrets there. The NSA does much the same things but the objective is bad guy identification to fulfill the mission of protecting Der Homeland. Plus many other various sub agendas which might be more important than the stated mission. Diversion and Deception and Asymmetrical Information is a business model. In the commercial world it is Fraud and Marketing Manipulation for gain and applied so well in Mass Media and Finance. That is the open secret of the commercial competitive world. The Republican party is still the party of competition that is the big secret of the political world that is hiding in plain sight, just like it hides in plain sight in the FIRE sector. Where the secret is hid behind guys wearing suits and the law that enables the Control Fraud that my hero Bill Black describes so well. The big secret of the commercial world really is not secret, Bill writes all about it but it is still unknown and unrecognized by the public otherwise they would be stringing up bankers and some politicians. What is important is to look at who is using that software not for application in-house application but for application to produce a finished product tailored to the specification requirements of customers that will pay to get it but would not or could not invest in what it takes to produce the Big Data product they are looking for: Names (identities) and methods of connecting to those identities through an identified communication device: Mail, computer or knocking on the door. That is where the rubber meets the ground all based on targeting the individual most likely to buy.
Who are the businesses providing this kind of big data product as a service. The companies that crunch all available data like the NSA to identify specific targets of interest for some action? Good place to look is the stock market. However many of them might be venture capital financed. Things that are really good just don't get offered to the little players anymore. Just the mega investors. Like this venture capital investment in a company called NGDATA. Wow, what is this "Ambient Intelligence" thing? The new gold rush and it is going faster than I can catch up!
What companies are using Big Data hardware and software to produce a finished product list of targeted individuals for marketing purposes to business that do not want to invest in the infastructure to do the same thing. It is these companies that will describe in the greatest detail exactly what they can provide and from what sources they can provide it as well as how accurate their intelligence is.
Maybe these to start but I don't know how the king of the mountain is yet. The "go to" crunch with the widest range of input source and therefore the greatest potential to produce the best intelligence product to sell. The one most like the NSA that is using both the hardware and software bought by the NSA to do what they do. Oracle, IBM, HP, etc. They all sell to anyone including the NSA and probably sell exactly what was sold to the NSA. Private enterprise would certainly like to have all the raw data access the NSA has. Might they also gain access illegally. Might they lobby for laws that are so business friendly to gain this access or repeal laws that hinder it? Just like the Finance/Government scheme?

Another number to consider is the depth of information available from these partners? It might only mean the partner answers the phone when BlueKai calls or gives unrestricted access to its entire data base for mining to monetize their data base. "Third party data" is another key word.
BlueKai does "Data Activation for Intelligent Marketing" and provides "Data Activation Solutions" Looks like I am going to have to learn a new set of euphemism now!

The NSA Master Data Managment and Sensemaking
Jeff Jonas has a conceptual pointer here to the idea that there has to be some unique entity (ultimately to be identified if not known) to which information is associated. He has a much better way of saying it, an ability I wish I had so I will simply defer to his statement:
"This article suggests that the single most fundamental capability required to make a sensemaking system is the system’s ability to recognize when multiple references to the same entity (often from different source systems) are in fact the same entity. For example, it is essential to understand the difference between three transactions carried out by three people versus one person who carried out all three transactions. Without the ability to determine when entities are the same, it quickly becomes clear that sensemaking is all but impossible."
Jeff is giving me a whole new lexicon! "Entity Resolution" "Semantic Reconciliation" Terms that encapsulate my concepts in a couple words that become shorthand for complex problem domain. Oh the joy of discovery of what he says here. He draws the conceptual entity picture so well and clearly in his definition of terms. Must me channeling or something!
I continue to think that there must be an NSA master ID for all known citizens. In light of Jeff's point of entry terminology for the problem domain of dis-ambiguating entities it might be called my "Entity Resolution ID"
Jeff structures big data in two categories MDM and Sensemaking. Each defined here. An excellent first cut at the problem. MDM being more in house structure of the information primarily related to specific corporate mission performance. Sensemaking bringing in all that external jumble of information the company has little control over structure and making some sense of it through integration with the MDM. Some enterprises are more oriented toward one or the other but all, if to be competitive and successful integrate both to an appropriate degree. The NSA has both aspects. The known information of government designed systems. The external sea of information with infinite degrees of of relationship to be sifted for sense.
In that sea that is the source of Sensemaking it seems to be to make the most sense to capture all information all the time. Or, given real world limitations; get all you can given current tech capabilities. Give it a first pass sifting. Pick out the real time gems, prioritize/categorize the rest, even if it is only pen register. Store all the NSA can store. Build as much more storage as possible as fast as possible to store more. Data not captured or identified as data to be captured in a distilling process required by various limitations is data that will often never be know in connection to any other data or of limited value due to its distillation from the raw source.
To me it is a given that the NSA can obtain and maintain a vast amount of MDM data that should have some kind of entity resolution ID number that identifies at least 95% of all citizens of the USA??? Makes sense so the use of multiple question marks is not necessary! I would bet on it. With odds.

In the Sensemaking domain I would imagine that the NSA deals more with place-holder entity resolution ID's. They do this even when there are a number of probable entities with different attributes some or all that may in fact be the same entity. Obvious: The goal is single entity ID differentiation resolution. Ultimately it is a single person (or entity like a location or account) with a unique identifier. The target of interest that is the mission objective. Everyone must have an identifier to which all related info is associated to in order to identify the target of interest through info related to that target. Just like google needs all info related to all possible search entries in order to satisfy specific search requests.

I like the term: "Sensemaking Systems". I just ran across it while doing some searching to expand my understanding of the nature of my NSA master ID.
The most surprising thing is that what I discovered was written by Jeff Jonas. My interest in Jeff Jonas goes all the way back to the time he packed up everything in his car and went to Las Vegas and created a system to uncover cheating through identifying simple connecting relationships. Very simple at the time. Jeff is also an Ironman triathlete and I had hoped to meet him at some race someday and usually looked at the race list or kept track of where he was racing (or stories about where he raced) from his blog. One of the most interesting guys I never met. The last time I had some contact with him was regarding his interest in personal privacy related to the growing ability (which he is a prime contributor to) of the information age to make connections about people.
Good Job Jeff! You still have an amazing ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms. That what it takes for me to understand them!

Sensemaking seems to be related to my quest to discover the nature of my NSA master ID. The problem domain of the NSA is to make some sense out of all the information collected about and individual when that person is a target of interest. All the sensemaking has to be associated ultimately with a bad guy through relationships of varying quality to give some qualitative knowledge about an individual. It would seem to have to start with either a known individual with a known NSA ID or a temporary case ID until probable known ID's are associated with it or if there are no known ID's for the target then one is created when there is certainty of identification of an individual not previously known in the system.
It all gets complicated but there is some real value in what Jeff has written.
Jeff popping up on a google search reminds me that in the past I have thought that he is someone that would understand my simple model for a new monetary system for a medium of exchange where the uniquely serialized digital unit dollar is static and the owner of the unit dollar changes. I feel that if I expressed that concept to him he would understand it immediately. He simplifies the complex in an elegant manner that I admire.
I will have to spend some time catching up on what Jeff has done. He is still just "connecting the dots" but doing it at a much bigger level than the operators of the gaming tables. A higher level enabled by the application of the advancement of technology to do big time what he simply did in Vegas.

Sensemaking seems to be related to my quest to discover the nature of my NSA master ID. The problem domain of the NSA is to make some sense out of all the information collected about and individual when that person is a target of interest. All the sensemaking has to be associated ultimately with a bad guy through relationships of varying quality to give some qualitative knowledge about an individual. It would seem to have to start with either a known individual with a known NSA ID or a temporary case ID until probable known ID's are associated with it or if there are no known ID's for the target then one is created when there is certainty of identification of an individual not previously known in the system.
It all gets complicated but there is some real value in what Jeff has written.
Jeff popping up on a google search reminds me that in the past I have thought that he is someone that would understand my simple model for a new monetary system for a medium of exchange where the uniquely serialized digital unit dollar is static and the owner of the unit dollar changes. I feel that if I expressed that concept to him he would understand it immediately. He simplifies the complex in an elegant manner that I admire.
I will have to spend some time catching up on what Jeff has done. He is still just "connecting the dots" but doing it at a much bigger level than the operators of the gaming tables. A higher level enabled by the application of the advancement of technology to do big time what he simply did in Vegas.

My Master NSA ID Number and Missing Bags Going to JFK From Vienna
Some speculation about the nature of my own, unknown to me, ID number assigned to me by the NSA to which all information collected about me is related.
My name? We google our name to find how many of us there are in the USA with the same name. A two part name is an ambiguous identifier but it does narrow the field. Add a middle name and the field gets very small for a larger number. Add a couple of other key identifiers like SSN, credit card, telephone number and the probability of another individual also having all those same numbers might as well be zero but please be sure before you shoot the person.
The unique NSA master id number might be the product of some algorithm that takes 5 or 6 other key identifiers and hashes them to a single unique parent number to which all child identifiers are are associated. Some of those identifiers will of course be shared with other individuals. That is not however a problem in uniquely identifying a single primary target individual but a valuable identifier of individuals sharing the same identifier with the target. Like an address, etc.
If the master ID number is a hash of child numbers then unhashing the number immediately leads to children identifiers that compose the master ID. This may facilitate a high level search of related information connecting individuals by simply comparing an individual master ID numbers.
The master ID could be created in many different ways. It is all a mater of computer information science which is progressing at a rapid rate as we approach a total information society. Exactly how the information design geniuses do it might be interesting but academic. It is probable and logical that the master ID would have some embodied information in itself rather than be the next random or sequential number that is automatically assigned by a computer with no inherent information or knowledge in itself. That would be a waste of a number to only be a number and nothing else without being able to say some things important or most important about itself.
For example, any written word does not say anything about itself. It only has meaning when we know its definition. However, as a stand alone word, certain rules can be applied to determine how to pronounce it. Its position in context also says something about it. It relates to more things than its own definition. It has embedded knowledge. My passport number starts with the last 4 digits of my SSN.
Once identified by a unique NSA master ID number what is the knowledge to be derive form information: Past, present (real time) and future information that produces knowledge of past things (state) and actions (behavior), current (select time frame) things and actions and future probability of related things and actions (probable state and behavior). Object oriented stuff. NSA must employ of lot of smart people that know all about state and behavior.
Yesterday I read a long patent in which the NSA had interest describing the nature of master and slave computer network nodes and the situation that the node designated as master node is always changing or subject to change in the master/slave relation to other nodes. Somehow it ring a pattern bell in how the dominant factor in intelligence about a target person of interest is always changing to become the master to which all other nodes of information related to or regarding the target are associated and how the master node regarding the target may change. It is an interesting physical and logical computer science thing to think about. Also the physical and logical data model. Something to think about if I am given another lifetime.
Right now: I sure would like to know what my NSA ID number is and everything that it says about virtual me! My virtual identity that represents to the NSA the best possible model of my real identity state and behavior if and when that is necessary to know.
Of course, the NSA keeps all the information is has collected that is related to me in a real tight lock box that they will only look into with justifiable reason. Their reasons that justify looking at me which are unknown to me but satisfy the agency that they have authority, secret or otherwise ginned up to accomplish whatever they believe they are authorized to do.
For example: Why did two identical bags containing many unusual parts checked by myself and an associate with Austrian Airlines in Viennna (Wien) on the 25th of Sept. on a flight to Barcelona to be placed on a connecting Delta flight to JFK not arrive at my final destination that I will not name. Baggage tag numbers 707763 and 360895. Those are actual numbers. What flight might they have been on if misdirected that I was not on?
Good question? Am I a target of interest? If so can the NSA analyst find the bags for me? They contain two folding bicycles that I treasure.
I trust Alaska Airlines to find them more than I would the NSA.

Stephen Hawkings said the other day (get it?) that the human brain could be replicated on a computer to give us life after death. Is that what they are doing at Bluffdale? Seems like they would have enough capacity and information to do it. After death we could all still be sending out emails and making telephone calls for the NSA to intercept.
Used to be that death and taxes were the only sure thing.
Now it is just taxes.
The NSA will still be listening long after we are gone and freedom at that time will only be granted with the press of the delete button.

I recently read that several of the "big Data" consumer intelligence companies have designed to capture all information from various sources about consumers all the time and to manage this information for sale on a targeted individual basis. In order to consolidate all sources of information to an individual consumer a master control number is assigned to each and every consumer.
Simply obvious! The NSA is the leader in big data and does the same thing. It has to. The law of information management at the most granular relationship level is this:
The fundamental relationship in the information structure must be an exclusive one to one relationship between two objects. In simple terms one person only has one exclusive mortal physical conscious life that they are directly and unconditionally related to. By definition and design we all get just one. One person cannot be related to more than one lifetime in this mortal world. That is a fact.
We all have a number with the NSA that relates to us as a unique individual. Us, ourselves, me and you, that is how the NSA relates a multitude of information about us to us, to me and you, in a unique manner that applies only to us and relates us to all the external connections we have in life that can be reduced to computer information.
In the scheme of having only one Master NSA number there are a multitude of identification numbers that relate to us. Social security numbers, telephone numbers, bank account numbers, etc. Thousand of numbers in descending order of importance and confidence that they in fact relate to us. Beyond those numbers are constructed information identification sources that can be deduced or induced to infer a relationship of information about us to our unique Master ID with various levels of probable accuracy.
That is the way bid data works. Everybody must have Master ID. We do not ask for it. It is assigned to us by some algorithm we are total unaware of that satisfies the prime requirement that it applies only to and uniquely to us and no one else. We do not know what that number is. Most of the other big time important identification numbers in our life we know about. Some made up for us that we are aware of, others assigned to us that we know.
What is my Master NSA identification number that has been created and assigned only to me and only me to identify me from any other living being?
Do I have a right to know my own NSA number that is absolutely unique to me and no other living (or dead) person. Just like a God assigned number so He can keep track of my and my score for ultimate consignment to heaven or hell! God must be a guy. He is too controlling and destructive!
Yes, I do have that fundamental civil right to know my NSA number. Maybe nothing other than that number but I have a right to the number and the accuracy of whatever information associated to that number that I have a civil right to know plus whatever information the NSA grants rights to me to know.
I call upon Senator Ron Wyden, my senator, the one I proudly voted for, to introduce legislation that requires the NSA to provide the master number of any citizen providing that the citizen can prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they are in fact the citizen to which that number is assigned. The burden of proof that the person requesting their own unique NSA number is not in fact the person the number is assigned to is upon the NSA. Otherwise the NSA must by law as an unalienable right of citizenship provide the Master NSA ID number to the requesting citizen.
The rule: No two citizens have the same number! All citizens have the right to at least know their own number. Rights to know or validate any information held by the NSA related to that number are negotiable.
We have the same right to know our master number assigned to us without our knowledge from any company that the government deems To Big Not To Know (TBNTK) or some better acronym that may be more appropriate like ITSME.
Don't you think that it is appropriate for me and my right to at least know the name (number) the government (NSA) has given me?
The ultimate aim of an information management system is reduction of ambiguity. One of the ultimate verifications of the purity and exclusivity of the one to one relationship between me and my NSA number is me knowing my number.
We are headed for a master number for each of us. India is ahead of us in regard to doing that for or to its citizens. The question is: Will the master number be done to us or for our benefit? It all depends on how we a citizens in the Information Age choose to have that number created and managed.
We will with absolutely certainty have a master number. We surely have it now. It is time we take control of at least the right to know the number and the scheme by which it is assigned and the its conditions of use related to our constitutional privacy rights.
