Bitcoin Block Chain Might Be Worth More Than Just Money.

Worth more than Money update 23 Dec. 2015: http://2dollarjefferson.blogspot.com/2015/12/merry-christmas-is-block-chain-concept.html

The Bitcoin Block Chain is a public ledger of all Bitcoin transactions.   It can be viewed here.  It records all transactions in a database and keeps them forever.  Past transactions cannot be changed.  They are locked as long as the database exists.

Public block chain data elements in the block chain are a transaction number, paying and receiving accounts amount and date/time stamp.  Each is an important element but obviously from a user view there is one payload element in the record:  Amount.  It adds or subtracts from the total of Bitcoins in the wallet.

The Block Chain establishes trust and confidence.  It is like Saint Peter writing in the Record.  Eternal and not changing.  Done is done did!  No take backs.  It conclusively establishes a matter of fact.

Conclusively establishing a matter of unchanging fact for all time in perpetuity ( a long time) is a glorious thing in a changing world.  The state of a thing at a certain time, maybe even a certain place, consigned to the rock record of history.

Bitcoin focuses on the ownership of money and its transaction transfer.  Money amount is the payload.

What other payloads might this model be applied to?????????

Wow! Might be some ideas here.  Somehow adding additional digitized information into a ledger associated with a bitcoin exchange where the exchange of Bitcoin is a nominal amount simply facilitating the entry of the additional information into an associated block chain model record for something like.........home ownership titles.

MERS   The MERS® System is a national electronic database that tracks changes in mortgage servicing and beneficial ownership interests in residential mortgage loans.

It was also a system that caused chaos in the mortgage business to the benefit of the banksters.  All kinds of fraud ensued.  Re-creation of documents, lost documents, lost accounting chains.  Fraud and more fraud to the extent it cannot be corrected  except by more fraud.

The Block Chain is a chain of custody system that cannot be fiddled with like MERS and can be applied to any chain of custody model.  Using fundamental accounting rules, the only way to change what has been done is another accounting entry in the ledger.  Requiring an explanation of course.

Bitcoin is a front end ledger system to which back office processes involving accounting type transactions documenting facts can be associated.

Bitcoin can be so much more than just money!!!

If Bitcoin is revolutionary then the application of the model by connecting it to the broader world of things that we account for is Bitcoin 2.0.  I should call it something related to Saint Peter and use the graphic of him writing in the Journal.  Maybe the catch phrase:  Let it be Written....... (for all eternity)

Robert Heinlein wrote about truth.  In one of his stories there was a public truth teller.  They were a professional society that could not lie. Something like a public notary on steroids.  Verifiers that something was in fact true.  Perhaps it was Stranger in a Strange Land.  I read a lot of science fiction as a kid, perhaps it was another author.  Asimov? Trying to find it on google, something from the 50's, it was surprising how many science fiction novels have it as a theme.  Truth is only for fantasy?

Gulf, as printed in Assignment in Eternity – Robert A. Heinlein - Baen edition:
"But Speedtalk was not “shorthand” Basic English. “Normal” languages, having their roots in days of superstition and ignorance, have in them inherently and unescapably wrong structures of mistaken ideas about the universe. One can think logically in English only by extreme effort, so bad it is as a mental tool. For example, the verb “to be” in English has twenty-one distinct meanings, every single one of which is false-to-fact.
A symbolic structure, invented instead of accepted without question, can be made similar in structure to the real-world to which it refers. The structure of Speedtalk did not contain the hidden errors of English; it was structured as much like the real world as the New Men could make it. For example, it did not contain the unreal distinction between nouns and verbs found in most other languages. The world—the continuum known to science and including all human activity—does not contain “noun things” and “verb things”; it contains space-time events and relationships between them. The advantage for achieving truth, or something more nearly like truth, was similar to the advantage of keeping account books in Arabic numerals rather than Roman.
All other languages made scientific, multi-valued logic almost impossible to achieve; in Speedtalk it was as difficult not to be logical. Compare the pellucid Boolean logic with the obscurities of the Aristotelean logic it supplanted.
Paradoxes are verbal, do not exist in the real world—and Speedtalk did not have such built into it. Who shaves the Spanish Barber? Answer: follow him around and see. In the syntax of Speedtalk the paradox of the Spanish Barber could not even be expressed, save as a self-evident error."

From Tom Dispatch today:  Tom presents great stuff!

Welcome to the Memory Hole: Disappearing Edward Snowden
By Peter Van Buren
"In Orwell's pre-digital world, the memory hole was a vacuum tube into which old documents were physically disappeared forever. Alterations to existing documents and the deep-sixing of others ensured that even the sudden switching of global enemies and alliances would never prove a problem for the guardians of Big Brother. In the world he imagined, thanks to those armies of bureaucrats, the present was what had always been -- and there were those altered documents to prove it and nothing but faltering memories to say otherwise. Anyone who expressed doubts about the truth of the present would, under the rubric of “thoughtcrime,” be marginalized or eliminated."

I do have a fixation on the establishment of source objects and concepts that are relatively or absolutely fixed in time and space, real or virtual as fundamental mandatory one to one building blocks for structure.  There are very few of these fixed things.  Without them we would be adrift.  One person one vote for example.
