Standing At Standing Rock

This morning I leave for Standing Rock.  A journey that will not be easy!  Not easy in many ways but the easiest because it is the right thing to do because the writing is on the wall and the meaning is clear.

There are only two things in this world:  What a thing is and what a thing does.  "Is" and "Does" are two binary parts of a single Thing thing.  The action of "Doing" is in itself a "Thing".  We simply see it as an action, not so much as the "Thing" that initiates the action.

What a Thing Is and Does is at the lowest singular unique level of the thing as well as the highest aggregate level plural of all of the granular level unique things that are its being.

Standing Rock is a place.  A place where unique lowest level granular things called Human Beings are doing something.  They are interacting in what they are doing.  The interaction is binary.  Separated by a barrier on a bridge.

Each clearly physically separated group is a distinctive Child of their immediate higher level Conceptual Parent that is responsible for their individual beliefs and action choices  that place them on one side of a barrier or the other.  What makes us human is that at the next and higher  conceptual level of Parent/Child relationships, what we think and how we act the attributes, known methods and messages passed invoking behaviors begin to be progressive toward increased commonality.....decreased difference.  Certainly in the physical domain.  Both sides of people on the bridge feel the environmental messages of cold and need for a nearby porta-potty that .  Conceptually either side of all the people on the bridge do not share the same conceptual messages of belief.

That is what divides them.  Things that are not shared concepts of belief.

What unites the two sides are shared beliefs.

In spite of what may or may not be shared, the fact is that they are divided physically and conceptually to a point between a Rock and a Hard Place.

Standing Rock is a Rock and a Hard Place.

Physically.

Conceptually.

A bridge where the Rubber Meets the Road.

A contest of physical world environment and conceptual world beliefs at the unique Child of a Parent level of the individuals directly involved that spans time.

One side overtly recognizes their Ancestors as the highest level of their relational, integrated Conceptual Patent/Child structure guiding belief and action.

The other side overtly recognizes their relational, integrated Conceptual Parent/Child structure of Authoritarian Masters dictating belief and action.  There is of course a higher level Parent of the Authoritarian Master.

That is where things get strange on the uniformed side of the bridge.  Some there see it as the highest level belief concept, some probably see and individually fee the conflict of Master Authority Parent level with an even higher level Parent Concept belief.

I am going as a Veteran.  Once I wore the uniform on one side of a bridge denoting a DMZ.  Looking back it was a brutal physical and conceptual conflict.  I returned to find a belief that the other side had the higher level concept.  Maybe only to the extent that it was the lesser of two evils but that is a hell of a way to choose the better way.  We are now experiencing the lessons of that.

A third way that is a higher level of belief and action is a better way.

The Indian Nation has chosen to stand at Standing Rock.  Theirs is the Higher Way.  It defies a lower level way of Authoritarianism and Special Interest.

No doubt on which side of the bridge I will take a personal stand.  Stand with others that served in a uniform that was believed to serve the greater good.  However, first and foremost I will go to stand with those that choose to believe and live a life guided by a higher level above the direction of a lower level system of practice that espouses and takes advantage of belief of Ancestors called Forefathers to the extent that those that it extracts from and rules have lost their way and found themselves on the wrong side of a physical and conceptual bridge.

Those that do not choose to take a stand on either side have simply lost their way and wondered off into a wilderness going nowhere.  The 40%.

The other 60% are squaring off on either side of a bigger bridge with a larger span.

Standing Rock is a microcosm of the coming physical and conceptual conflict that will officially be marked on 20 January like dates that live in infamy.
