How in the world could I have missed this. Thanks to the re-post of it by someone today to bring back a point in time of where the world was. President Obama's eloquence in delivery and content of substance compared to who occupies the Office of the President today makes me want to cry. I did.
In a world where we acknowledge giants that humbly say they only stood on the shoulders of giants but in fact raise us to new levels we have an extremely small leader standing on the shoulders of our past president. That is not the way things should work.
The brave march forward toward ideals in the face of acknowledgement that history tells us they were not always met in the past but give is resolve to continue was the concluding thought to the address of 2011. The march forward together is now the march of America First.
I look at Natural Language with thoughts about its ambiguities and need for greater precision to address our problems. President Obama's use of English in the home of the language to express fundamental concepts that have determined our past and will continue to guide our future is a most elegant inspiration with no ambiguity of what we must do to assure not only the benefits of the future to our two nations but the entire world.
It is in implementation of our ideals that we must be more precise and less ambiguous in the Information Age.

Postscript entry a couple days later: The graphic Knowledge Map pattern image has been haunting the back of my mind. I wonder if some people have some unusual conceptual ability to look at an information pattern and restructure a unique way they look at things into the meta structure of the pattern relationships?

Main Blockchain of the Prior Blog Entry Branch
The prior blog entry purpose and intent was a Blockchain branch of where I intended it to progress as the Main Blockchain of expressing something to a grandson. I found at the end of the branch that I had linked to myself in the process of intending to link to him on his future Main Blockchain Progression Path. One that will link every conceptual Blockchain Transaction of small to immense value in his life but more aimed at the "Frame of Study" at some yet unknown but applied for linkage to some Universtiy somewhere.
He is editor of the school newspaper. A position that he has some enthusiasm for that focuses his 4.0 level of intelligence. He is interested in foreign language study but perhaps the most interesting foreign language that is rising in usage, popularity and application in the world today is the our own Natural Language written in the schema of Hyperlinks today. I think it may be the "Plastics" future of his graduation from higher learning that will not only maximize the utility of a degree but career field choice of application.
I chose this link to illustrate the power of linkage connecting things in the Information Age Natural Language in the frame of written communication that increases precision, decreases ambiguity and enhances personal satisfaction if the shoe fits.

Often the written narrative purpose is to hold a person accountable for what they have said or written. Those that forge the linkages in our Social System that make it more transparent to us and less of an ambiguous refuge to the benefit of a few with narrow self interest to whom ambiguity is a feature not a bug are heroes of the Information Age. At this point the cobblestones to be picked up off the street to as ammunition to bring about the revolution are battleground weapons that collectively aggregated to higher levels of truth will win the greater war of soft revolution.
I went into real war in the 60's to preserve and protect our nation from external threat. I now see the transparent truth that exposes that war for what it really was. So many things have been linked in the hindsight of history by the tools we have today to make the meaningful links among things buried in the past.
That software capability today , more than the hardware of warfare, is what protects and defends our freedom. Freedom fighters are those that would use the power of Hyperlinked narrative truth in the bloodless revolution that brings down a legacy system with so much ambiguity that control by an informed public, the essence of our democracy was obviated and in fact used by the few to control the many.
The pen is mightier than the sword. That pen forges Hyperlinked relationships to the higher level truth in a relational meta structure of Information Age technology.

I look at writing in Hyperlinked narrative this way: They are ground level first linkages of what people write about that relate to another level or aspect of what they are writing. Beyond that first level linkage there are more linkages that become increasingly complex and numerous challenging our ability to organize them and make the empirical relational connections. Numerous and complex higher level relationships are something that computers are very good at. Especially good when they see first level linkages and apply algorithms to do the heavy lifting. More of those algorithms match human thinking in a highly structured frame of Human Intelligence.
If writing in Hyperlinked narrative today is the raw material first degree and even second degree linkage forged by humans then it becomes the input to current (and even more important) future input to Artificial Intelligence systems. Everything written or reduced to writing in the past that was not linked directly to clarify or substantiate what was being written is subject to AI inference to thrash out the probably meaning in hindsight interpretation. Easier perhaps for anything written in the domain of hard science but also becoming better at thrashing out anything written in a less precise frame outside Hard Science.
Produce Hyperlinked narrative structures now for analysis and system meta structure creation now for analysis of what was written in the frame now by future and better AI. Read the past to tell more about the future when Future Time comes.
It is like a conceptual blockchain of links we are building now with each segment of "Hyperlinked Narrative that will benefit us in the future where tools exist to tell us more about what our base Human Intelligence means when all put together.

Building A Conceptual Relational Schema with Hyperlinks

Schema. I like that word. Here is my own definition from the dictionary called "Inside my Mind": Scheme of Things.
The beauty of a Scheme of Things is two fold:
First: The beauty of its Meta Structure.
Second: The beauty of the conceptual relationships among things hung on that Meta Structure skeleton that give it conceptual Flesh and Blood substance. That includes its Conceptual Relationship that is the unique One to One relationship of a thing to itself as if the single thing was two different things. Expressed in the precise language of Mathematical Relationships that would be the relationship of a thing to itself where: Unique Thing (does not equal) Same Unique Thing. Idiomatically speaking: There are Two Faces of the same Thing.
At the most essential granular level, I guess by looking at a Thing, there are only two things about a Thing in a Binary relationship to itself?
Schematically: What the Thing itself "Is" and what the Same Thing Itself "Is not".
This blog entry so far is a not very interesting and No Fun unless the reader is a Nerd thinking conceptually far beyond relationship linkage that Most People "Get". I do a lot of that Relationship Linking in this Blog. I call it Connecting the Dots.
That is what we do in life with our Human Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence that we created is simply a more refined Scheme of Things meta structure we employ as a tool to Connect the "Conceptual Dots" of our Real World and Conceptual World Scheme of Things.
This is an interesting way that the Narrative Written Form uses Hyper Links to connect Things in our Written Form Schema of Natural Language. The previous link takes off into a World of Analytical Deep Intelligence. A deep and dark world of Higher Learning that is Framed in a Formal University Academic setting but in that setting teaching students in the Universitiy of Hard Knocks that Links their education to the Real World.

Structured Analysis--It's All About Structure...Hard and Soft..Hardware and Software ..Local and National
Taking a big picture look at what delights me in the morning I see that they are at polar ends of structured analysis. While at polar ends from one perspective they share a common attribute in terms of my Object Oriented thinking: Anomaly. A leading attribute that make them so intriguing. Perhaps with some degree of added paradox.
At one end is the the collection of political satire analysts with whom I increasingly start my morning viewing of the world. They compete for top spot. Trevor is often on top. Their structural analysis highlights Anomalies.
Deviation. Deviation? Deviation is like Left Brain view of Right Brain Anomaly. Essentially the same thing but Anomaly plays on how we feel about a thing that sticks out from the norm. Deviation is what we think about an analytical logical measurable degree of truth. Political satirists are having a field day focusing on our Commander In Deviation from the norm. Political norm. Social norm. Decency norm. There is not a norm that he does not normally deviate from. He is so out of bounds that we laugh at him until we just have to cry.
Its polar. Laughing at Anomaly is intuitive measurable response Feeling. Crying at Deviation presented as facts is a measurable response Feeling. We don't know what to do but in the frame of satirical presentation of Anomaly we laugh. When we think about what we laugh at......we would cry. It does get us to think about it.
There is a paradigm shift when the Anomalies of satire suddenly become recognition of the measurable deviation. Laughter ceases as the view shifts to thinking about the Writing on the Wall of structured truth. The truth of Deviation from the norm is a sociopath Deviant. In his position of power he stands with Great Deviants that history castigates that are polar opposites of other Great Deviants that are admired. Polar opposites.
Anomalies are easy to see intuitively as well as to leap the bounds of analytical analysis to reach and evaluation. Analytical measurement of Anomalies on some Degree of Deviation scale relative to Good/Bad value classification requires a rigorous definition of terms. Mathematical, Empirical, Objective views with defined structure and process.
Anomalies of political satire I look at first thing in the morning lead me to looking at Deviations in more structured systems that deal more in the domain of domain of Hard Science rather than Social Science but have increasing value is what the Hard look domain says about the Social domain.
This is segue to how the remainder of the morning is spent. Sometimes I blog about the first intuitive part of the morning. Sometimes I only blog about the second part of the analytical morning often follows. Sometimes I just blog about both in the same entry switching horses in mid stream but with enough connection to keep me on the horse I rode in on.
The second part of the morning (recent example) is attempting to look at Deviation from the norm of Deschutes County Property Tax. The anomaly is that some property owners are assessed at $77.07 per acre of land value in a residential zoned area of the City of Bend while others, often adjoining properties are assessed at somewhere closer to $100,000.00 per acre. The sole reason for the anomaly is that one property owner has a minimum of 2 or more acres of residential zoned property in the City (often with a residence on an additional 1 acre of the same taxlot property) and have been approved by the Deschutes County Assessor to plant and grow trees on the property for the commercial sale of Timber at maturity.
That is where the Anomaly Deviation analysis relates to Social Structure purpose and value to stand the test of Judgment of the Legal Structure in which the property tax is a matter of sanctioned tax avoidance in accordance with the Law. Analytically it is legal tax avoidance. Objectively it is structured evasion opportunity for self interest benefit that arguably was not reasonably and logically intended by Oregon ORS and implementing OAR.
The Anomaly Deviation is: A function of implementing of state rules and regulations embodied in State Law applicable to Designated Forestland. All Designated Forestland in Eastern Oregon, regardless of location is officially valued for property assessment purposes by an Oregon Department of Revenue at $77.07 per acre with legal exemption from all or any other rules or regulations applicable to computation of property tax assessment value.
The application of this legal exemption to property located within residential zoned areas within the City of Bend is blatantly wrong and an unintended consequence of the State Law and regulations requiring correction.
There are a lot of blatantly wrong intended and unintended consequences of the Law that require correction. Nationally and Locally. The problem of the Problem Domain is how to correct them!
That is what I struggle with on a very localized matter. Chosen to struggle with because I have chosen a local matter of what is wrong that needs correction. The problem is easy to analytically define but difficult to socially correct.
One way to present the problem for social analysis is to reduce the complexity of the structural domain of Law to the simplicity of the Law doing what it was intended to do and what it does as a function of unintended consequences. Unintended consequences being an unjust and undeserved benefit to a few at the expense of many. A problem like Federal Tax Reform proclaimed to benefit the many.
It is a relational thing. A relation between what one categorical segment of society benefits from at the expense of another in a zero sum game. The challenge is how to present the problem in a clear, concise, and brief manner with greatest impact to substantiate the need for correction challenging the defenders of the status quo and/or those that would seek to continue or shape the nature of the status quo norm for their self interest at the expense of Public Interest.
Locally it looks like the tools of the Information Age are the best way to present and resolve the problem. Emerging as one of the best tools for presentation of things with direct relationship to the Land, such as property taxes on the land is a GIS map with overlays showing Anomaly Deviations in taxation related to immediate surrounding properties as well as geographically expanded properties up to the County Level. Perhaps even up to the Oregon State Level as State ORS and OAR at the functional root of the problem are challenged.

Anomalies are easy to see intuitively as well as to leap the bounds of analytical analysis to reach and evaluation. Analytical measurement of Anomalies on some Degree of Deviation scale relative to Good/Bad value classification requires a rigorous definition of terms. Mathematical, Empirical, Objective views with defined structure and process.
Anomalies of political satire I look at first thing in the morning lead me to looking at Deviations in more structured systems that deal more in the domain of domain of Hard Science rather than Social Science but have increasing value is what the Hard look domain says about the Social domain.
This is segue to how the remainder of the morning is spent. Sometimes I blog about the first intuitive part of the morning. Sometimes I only blog about the second part of the analytical morning often follows. Sometimes I just blog about both in the same entry switching horses in mid stream but with enough connection to keep me on the horse I rode in on.
The second part of the morning (recent example) is attempting to look at Deviation from the norm of Deschutes County Property Tax. The anomaly is that some property owners are assessed at $77.07 per acre of land value in a residential zoned area of the City of Bend while others, often adjoining properties are assessed at somewhere closer to $100,000.00 per acre. The sole reason for the anomaly is that one property owner has a minimum of 2 or more acres of residential zoned property in the City (often with a residence on an additional 1 acre of the same taxlot property) and have been approved by the Deschutes County Assessor to plant and grow trees on the property for the commercial sale of Timber at maturity.
That is where the Anomaly Deviation analysis relates to Social Structure purpose and value to stand the test of Judgment of the Legal Structure in which the property tax is a matter of sanctioned tax avoidance in accordance with the Law. Analytically it is legal tax avoidance. Objectively it is structured evasion opportunity for self interest benefit that arguably was not reasonably and logically intended by Oregon ORS and implementing OAR.
The Anomaly Deviation is: A function of implementing of state rules and regulations embodied in State Law applicable to Designated Forestland. All Designated Forestland in Eastern Oregon, regardless of location is officially valued for property assessment purposes by an Oregon Department of Revenue at $77.07 per acre with legal exemption from all or any other rules or regulations applicable to computation of property tax assessment value.
The application of this legal exemption to property located within residential zoned areas within the City of Bend is blatantly wrong and an unintended consequence of the State Law and regulations requiring correction.
There are a lot of blatantly wrong intended and unintended consequences of the Law that require correction. Nationally and Locally. The problem of the Problem Domain is how to correct them!
That is what I struggle with on a very localized matter. Chosen to struggle with because I have chosen a local matter of what is wrong that needs correction. The problem is easy to analytically define but difficult to socially correct.
One way to present the problem for social analysis is to reduce the complexity of the structural domain of Law to the simplicity of the Law doing what it was intended to do and what it does as a function of unintended consequences. Unintended consequences being an unjust and undeserved benefit to a few at the expense of many. A problem like Federal Tax Reform proclaimed to benefit the many.
It is a relational thing. A relation between what one categorical segment of society benefits from at the expense of another in a zero sum game. The challenge is how to present the problem in a clear, concise, and brief manner with greatest impact to substantiate the need for correction challenging the defenders of the status quo and/or those that would seek to continue or shape the nature of the status quo norm for their self interest at the expense of Public Interest.
Locally it looks like the tools of the Information Age are the best way to present and resolve the problem. Emerging as one of the best tools for presentation of things with direct relationship to the Land, such as property taxes on the land is a GIS map with overlays showing Anomaly Deviations in taxation related to immediate surrounding properties as well as geographically expanded properties up to the County Level. Perhaps even up to the Oregon State Level as State ORS and OAR at the functional root of the problem are challenged.

Return to Standing Rock
It all hit me now a year later. 11 December 2018.
A few days later than its anniversary. What also was recalled in unusual circumstances was the recollection of another date in history discussed in .a coffee shop recently. Another unusual point in significant time: 8:00 am Sunday December 7th. Sitting Space-A on a C-141 ready for take off at Hickham AFB Hawaii. It hit me hard when I woke up to the significance of the date. I looked at my watch. It was a few minutes before 8am.
The aircraft was ready for take off but was sitting ready for longer than normal. Then I knew why. Certainly the pilot know and that certainty would soon be proved. At 8:00 am the trembling power of the jets was increased to a roar of full power that must have been applied against braked wheels released.
I have told that story to a few, maybe expressing my memory of it now in the framework of my life links to its significance then as now as many other dates and places have so recently.
Bridges have a significance in my life. I stood at the Lexington Concord Bridge. Crossed the bridge dividing North from South Vietnam in 1996. A bridge intended to be crossed in the other direction when I was in Danang 1966-67. I was at the Bridge too Far on a Bike and Barge tour several years ago.
The Bridge Over the River Kai was another bridge made into a movie in 1957. I was 14 years old. It seems that a few movies have had tremendous influence on the course of my life. The impact and message of the movie came dramatically at the end.
At Standing Rock those on the other side and who they were and what they stood there for was wrong. Some on the other side realized it. Others might never see it. Who they were affiliated with rose suspicion. Perhaps without true cause. Their affiliation is intended to be mysterious. I had learned that.

A year ago I stood at Standing Rock. Today I received an email "A Year Ago You Made A Choice" reminding me of that stand. Thinking in retrospect today about its meaning to me and the compulsion to go made a connection to something deeply buried within myself that I had not realized before.
I wrote this in a prior post 13 November 2014 to honor courage that I greatly admired and was inspired to emulate in my navy career.
In the Michener book "Centennial" the fictional Indian Chief Lame Beaver drove a stake into the ground outside a rival tribe's camp one morning waking the camp and its leader. Then he tied his leg to the stake with a tether. He stood his ground and shouted out his presence. Their was no retreat. His tribe was behind him in the bushes. It would defend his stand. He challenged the rival Chief (bad guy called Rude Water) to count coup upon him.
That is courage and conviction of leadership. It calls upon personal courageous leadership action and support of those who lead courageous action.
I read "Centennial" in 1976. I happened to be crossing the state line into Colorado at about midnight, July 4th 1976. One of strange Time/Place coincidences in my life ranking with beginning a take off roll at Hickam AFB bound for Australia on a Sunday morning at exactly 8:00 am on a 7th day in December.

The navy has its battle image traditions. Chosen images are often on display in the quarters, offices or captain's cabin of Senior Officers. If I had not retired and made Captain I would have chosen an image expressing the Lakota tradition. It is another strange circumstance in my life that I chose to stand with the Lokota at Standing Rock. Even stranger that I had not until today thought of the connection between an admired image from 1976 of Lame Beaver standing his ground and my presence defending Lakota at Standing Rock.
While the Sash bearer staked himself out it was a call to comrades to the bravery of comrades to come forward and protect him.
I am immensely proud of having defended Lakota warriors standing their ground in the tradition of Lakota Nation sash bearers. The greatest battle honor of Standing Rock goes to them where they stood tied to to the ground in honor of their land and its waters.
Veterans Service Corps has driven their stake in the ground. I salute them and stand in support of their leadership courage.

Turbo Tax and Artifcical Intelligence Emerge From the Dream World
I added these six paragraphs at the top beginning of the blog that would otherwise have been post script conclusions of meaning discovery at the bottom. A post script that tells in hindsight the real reason for the beginning that was not written on the wall at the start.....because I did not see it. Kinda like post dream analysis to learn what it was really all about.
My grandson is preparing university applications. He said he thinks he wants to study and learn foreign languages. Our own Natural Language is as foreign and unexplored as the depths of the ocean. Extending our Natural Language ability as a tool to explore the depths and reveal them to ourselves is what the Information Age is doing for our benefit...or not.... is what we call Artificial Language. It is only "Artificial" to the extent that it is not yet in the general "Natural Language" domain that is generally spoken. It is not an "Artificial Language" in the relatively small domain of those that are Naturally Conversant in it.
Andrew's future can go anywhere. With his ability and intelligence I am excited about where it might go that I will never be around to see. I can only be a spark that may ignite the fire of a rocket to the moon. What follows is a look at the rocket, the adventure of it and perhaps the dawning of an idea that he might board it and ride it to exciting places.
He won't see this post script moved to the top. What follows is something that I hope to explore as a potential adventure in a conceptual world as well as a real world wherever it may take him in the future.
Obviously, it is a dream interpretation of dreaming about Turbo Tax and Artificial Intelligence. A strange thing to dream about! It has nothing directly to do with Turbo Tax but everything to do with an exceptionally abstract conceptual view of the meaning of the waking DreamWorld/ThoughtWorld connection that creation of things come from.
I have climbed a tree to get to the moon. At this point I am at the top and from that vantage point all I might have left is wisdom to rest, look around and maybe say something about what I see as taller to climbing adventures for which I was born too soon.

In John Singleton’s eyes, to "unlearn" means to release the toxins which pollute individuals and society. But that cleansing process also involves adopting a new, more progressive set of values. Which leads to the bigger question: What have we learned in the two decades since Higher Learning premiered?
Perhaps the value of AI Deep Learning is to teach us what to Unlearn? Unlearn the toxin of what we feel and restructuring that empty bowl with what we logically think and know.
AI goes deeper....Human Intelligence (HI) and Human Resources (HR) go higher?
I think that AI has gone down to the most granular elemental level of conceptual things to work with maybe 80% of everything in our physical environment being modeled on a machine and maybe 60% of our human conceptual environment. AI can go deeper but at the same time it has enough basic elemental things to start to put them together and go higher in learning as the same time it goes lower.

Not binary but relational.
There is a fear of machines taking over human jobs. A fear that they will be smarter than us. Perhaps that is like being afraid of a teacher that is smarter than us? Rejecting the teacher. Not wanting to learn?
Logic and Reason is the best teacher. We have much to learn from a AI Deep Teacher that by our own design is only one step ahead of the student.

What do we have to fear in learning? How ignorant we are? That is what Higher Learning cures.

Book Learning? Think about it. Highly ambiguous in meaning we do not learn from a Book any more than we learn from a Machine. They are merely the structured Repository Medium what is to be learned delivering a Message to us with a payload of giving us new Attributes, Methods to apply them and Messages to implement them.

In John Singleton’s eyes, to "unlearn" means to release the toxins which pollute individuals and society. But that cleansing process also involves adopting a new, more progressive set of values. Which leads to the bigger question: What have we learned in the two decades since Higher Learning premiered?
Perhaps the value of AI Deep Learning is to teach us what to Unlearn? Unlearn the toxin of what we feel and restructuring that empty bowl with what we logically think and know.
AI goes deeper....Human Intelligence (HI) and Human Resources (HR) go higher?
I think that AI has gone down to the most granular elemental level of conceptual things to work with maybe 80% of everything in our physical environment being modeled on a machine and maybe 60% of our human conceptual environment. AI can go deeper but at the same time it has enough basic elemental things to start to put them together and go higher in learning as the same time it goes lower.

Bottom Up Assembly....or Not... at Peak Bottom: Wall or Pit Speaks to Us

We are beginning to call it Artificial Intelligence. We created it from the top down with Human Intelligence. Now it has reached the stage where the Child becomes the Teacher of the Parent.
The future will bring us things starting from the bottom up Intelligence endowed by us in physical and conceptual granular level things that now teach and enable us to to apply them to a re-stucturing on the very conceptual systems that created them.
That is the future that 3 grandsons at the verge of entry will enter. They are acquiring and will continue to acquire more precise professional skills maximizing their utility === MakeMoney as well as DeriveSatisfaction. Maybe at a higher level AcheiveSuccess.
The tables have turned as Information at an exceedingly fine granular level created by Information Systems of our own conceptual design take on a life or their own to teach us and endow us with more precise and less ambiguous Knowledge from the bottom up. The tables have turned in the nature of the Language used to do this. In the beginning we (some extraordinary gifted) used the language of machines to create what we have today. Now machines are learning our language to speak to us in our own language but with new rules that machines apply to our legacy Natural Language.
It will all look like English but will become a dialect that we all need to understand and speak. Those that learn and apply the new dialect will be in control of the Social System.
What that New Social System is as an Operating System and it does as a function of its Application Programs. Artificial Intelligence is teaching us to think more precisely in terms of the same way we have always naturally thought but in a more precise manner that we desperately need to manage what we have to date created.

From now on the truth of what Things "Are" and what we use them to "Do" is up to us if we learn to apply them to continuing progress......or not if the legacy System refuses to progress to a better way that True Intelligence has to teach us as a function of what Artificial Intelligence that we have created tells us as it speaks to us in our own language that it makes more precise for us to understand.

Oregon Property Tax Mass Appraisal Program Methods

This document describes methods used by Oregon County Assessors for the Mass Appraisal of properties for tax purposes. There is a great amount of work to be done in the process. The actual heavy lifting of doing it is not actually done by the County Assessor but a computational program that embodies in Computer Code all of the methods described by the publication.
In general that Computer Code is known generically as CAMA. Go far enough back in time and it was certainly a process that was all done by hand prior to initial mechanization. Information engineering has come a long ways.
There are many companies offering CAMA Software to local government County Tax Assessors.
The source documentation input to any contractual or governmental in house coding to produce a computer program to perform the County Assessor's Property Tax Mass Appraisal function must obviously be related governmental laws, rules, regulations, processes and procedures. Probably different from State to State. It makes me wonder how Oregon Department of Revenue QAs the programs used by all the County Assessors.
Deschutes County uses an ORCAT system which is the subject of blog entries in my Designated Forestland blog. The system contractor is Helion. Somewhere I would expect an official government certification to exist that validates the fact that the program coded by Helion delivers and accurate implementation of all State ORS and Department of Revenue OAR as well as any other Department OAR that may be related to the CAMA application of County Assessor responsibility for Assessment functions?? Double emphasis on the last sentence because it is a good question for which I find no documenting evidence other than the contract with Helion.
Who has the governmental responsibility for certification that software purchased under personal services contract delivers a coded product that complies with Oregon Department of Revenue Property Tax Mass Appraisal Program Methods?
Perhaps any certification of documentation prepared and submitted under the certifying signature of the Deschutes County Assessor extend to the Assessor's certification of program code compliance with all applicable State of Oregon ORS and Department of Revenue OAR??? Triple ? because that is a good Perhaps question.

The least visible Blockbuster News egg laid in a time frame by the Annual Turkey and left behind for nobody to see because they were preparing or traveling prior to Thanksgiving, enjoying the the holiday and the day after out shopping or recovering. Followed by a Saturday and Sunday that make anything from last Tuesday old news for this coming Monday.
Hey, its a business model. Hide news in plain sight when nobody is looking? No, its AG Schneiderman that certainly chose the release date. Perhaps it is a clever way to avoid derailment of publication by powerful Public and Private interests that would rather not have this come to public attention. Clever use to escape their attention by using their business model method to hide news from public attention? Perhaps this would not even be published if the Powers That Be got wind of it.

Exactly. Who owns what where? We are an ownership society, country. On the national level? I give up. We need a new system of ownership based on a new Monetary System foundation where every granular level unit of medium of exchange is uniquely identified in a Positive Money system operating on Blockchain for the Common Good. It is impossible to have a serious democratic (We the People) debate not only because there is so little information but that so few understand the system we have. The future belongs to China. Thing are no more transparent there to the general public but the leaders are working for the People's Republic, not Wall Street and Big Business. China will lead the world into Crypto Currency while the USA remains slaves of Democracy denominated by the Debt Based Dollar that is responsible for disparity in the distribution of wealth.
The USA will only give up its grip on Debt Based Reserve Currency not when it is pried from its cold dead hands but when it becomes worthless in a world of Debt Free Crypto Currency.

Land Coin
This is not a new idea. It is however a new original idea to me this morning that subsequently was searched on the WorldWideWeb. Some of my thinking put a different spin on the idea...maybe. Underlaying Value is a granular lowest level piece of real GIS division of Land. It is like the whole world surface = Not Water is Gold and there is a limited amount of it and demand for it and it is all currently Owned, every granular piece sectional polygon part of it measured by its lowest granular level of square Inch, Foot, Taxlot, etc. possessed by Beneficial Owner Entity,

Law of the Land and Corpus Legis

The way I understand a thing is to take different point of entry to the problem. Blockchain is a point of entry for example. Mapping GIS and overlays is another example related to my examination of county assessor records and an Interactive Map of properties relating geographical to taxlots to property tax records.
Today I looked at a new way to look at things from a different point of entry (the lead link) to the domain. Influenced by a geo-mapping approach at a more conceptual level related to property assessment. It is like mixing law and rules an overlaying them on a physical map. It takes the laws and rules and converts them to data in a shared environment among many entities.
It is a new way, a higher order way of looking at things that relate to the land. In ArcGIS yesterday I looked at a map of the USA and went to overlay search there were thousands of different overlays to apply to the map. Narrowing it down to Deschutes County, the City of Bend and surrounding areas there were pages of overlays to apply.
Last year I looked at a fire hydrant overlay on a map of Bend. A house on my block burned down. I was amazed at the number of rules and regs related to fire hydrants. Applicable to specific unique hydrants (uniquely identifying them with serial tags as well) depending on geographical relationships of the hydrants to the area of their position. Conceptually it was a visual relational data base with some link to related things but relatively few links out of all the possible linkages that could be made.
There are a lot of rules, regs, legal definitions relating to county property taxes that extend to Federal, State, County and Local levels of government as well as segmented property zones and neighborhoods within a city.
Corpus Legis would integrate all of that. In the case of a strong relationship to land and property it would seem that all the land related rules and regs are all related to one thing: A geographic map as a data base point of entry.
What if I could click on any taxlot property in Bend and select an overlay that is applicable to it. How many overlays could that potentially be? Thousands I imagine. Most related to laws and regulations.
The challenge is to establish the relationships and code them!
The payoff is big!
State ORS Law, Department level implementing OAR, such as the Department of Revenue which tend to perhaps be more computational in nature and then County/City codes and regulations come down from the top to the bottom. Corpus Legis attempts to connect it all in common use data file.

Last week I got a Subway sandwich. They are healthy, good and inexpensive. I get the senior price. Got a receipt with the sandwich. Put a dollar in the tip jar. The server asked if I wanted the receipt. I asked if it gave me a free cookie next time. They used to. No, not next time but a free cookie if I commented on the service.
The service was excellent. Fast, efficient and satisfying. I even commented on the guy's speed in making the sandwich as I eyed the generous amount of chicken being heaped in the bun.
A dollar in the jar is worth something to the employee. Maybe a comment is worth more...or not...depending. If the comment goes toward ranking in a data base it can cut both ways.
I know that when talking to a customer service rep on the phone the conversation will be data mined to evaluate the interaction. Key words will be picked out. Perhaps emotional voice pattern analysis. If the interaction was good I load it up in the end with all the key word reasons and adjectives that I appreciated the level of service.
Adjectives as well as any other QA descriptors are the tip that goes into the employees record.
"Working for the Man" becomes "Working for the Blockchain.
Back to Subway: Go to website. Input info that could be linked to server. Make comment. Make internet blockchain tip.
Looks like a common business practice model.

Cell Phone Surveillance - Stingray

One of my favorite things to write about in this blog besides money. A cell phone ID is a granular data element level thing in a Surveillance System. It can be linked to Time/Place/Person with a high degree of reliability.
Time/Place/Person as a function of flying a plane over a given area is a cheap, easy and quick way to suck up a vast amount of information connected to a unique individual. Information that is persistent to Time/Place/Person/CellPhoneIMSI
Fly a Cessna outfitted with a Stingray in a pattern over a small city like Bend Oregon between 2 and 3am and the home sleeping static location (or at work static location) of every transmitting cell phone in town is captured. Do it on successive nights to confirm location or successive weeks/months and a location data base with a high degree of probability in predicting where any given person will be at that time is developed as well as reference information as to location where sleep that can be linked to other data. Do it in the day time and it establishes where they usually are during the day. Put the Time/Place/CellPhone/Person results on an ArcGIS map as an overlay and bingo!
It is valuable intelligence gathering. Anybody with a plane and a Stingray can do it. Planes are easy. Stingrays are harder to get. The intelligence value of information gathered by a private entity has money value. Value great enough to make the price of getting a Stingray on the black market very high but a relatively small investment for ROI.
A car driving around a town is cheaper but takes longer.
How available is a Stingray on the Black Market. They are sold world wide. Just go where they are sold and law and order are lax with a suitcase full of money. Steal one from authorities that have them in the USA. Rob a place at gunpoint where they are stored.
The threat to privacy is enormous withing the frame of official use. More than enormous in the private sector frame where there is no control on use. It is a weapon of Mass Intelligence that can be gotten by anyone with the intention to use it for some purpose. Official Intelligence Authorities have it in there hands for what applications? Private Entities mining data with this intelligence tool to monetize a database? Its like picking up gold on the ground.

Do it on successive nights to confirm location or successive weeks/months and a location data base with a high degree of probability in predicting where any given person will be at that time is developed as well as reference information as to location where sleep that can be linked to other data. Do it in the day time and it establishes where they usually are during the day. Put the Time/Place/CellPhone/Person results on an ArcGIS map as an overlay and bingo!
It is valuable intelligence gathering. Anybody with a plane and a Stingray can do it. Planes are easy. Stingrays are harder to get. The intelligence value of information gathered by a private entity has money value. Value great enough to make the price of getting a Stingray on the black market very high but a relatively small investment for ROI.
A car driving around a town is cheaper but takes longer.
How available is a Stingray on the Black Market. They are sold world wide. Just go where they are sold and law and order are lax with a suitcase full of money. Steal one from authorities that have them in the USA. Rob a place at gunpoint where they are stored.
The threat to privacy is enormous withing the frame of official use. More than enormous in the private sector frame where there is no control on use. It is a weapon of Mass Intelligence that can be gotten by anyone with the intention to use it for some purpose. Official Intelligence Authorities have it in there hands for what applications? Memes as Granular Level Thoughts with Persistence in Building Structure
This blog is about getting down to a granular level. Searching for the basic building block of a conceptual social structure. Relating it to the Natural Physical World order of things and the Micro level granules that the Macro level is structured on. While human conceptual structures can be anything we want them to be, anything that we want them to mean and do, they must find some degree of the same logic and intelligence that the Physical world is structured on.
Some degree. A tree has inherent intelligence to be and to do something. It can exist until and as long as it has a sufficient complex of properties necessary for it to be a tree. Failing at a threshold of a number of component properties at any given level of the structure changes the state of being of a tree from existence as a tree to a state of decomposition of a tree. A breaking down of the substance of a tree to its more granular level components until it is down to the rock bottom granule. Maybe somewhere above a sub-atomic level. All the basic granuals possess some fractional portion of the total Natural Intelligence to be another tree. Providing that the Environment Operating System favors it to come into collective existence as a tree.....or something else.
Memes are granular thought fragments that build concepts. Collections of related memes build structures into existence. Those structures persist to the extent they are build on powerful granular level memes organized structurally with an inherent unique intelligence logic. When the Meme Structure fails it can disassemble to a lower level intelligence and associated design structure to be built upon again........depending on the environment that the Meme system is to exist within.
Take the meme out of a relationship to the Natural Physical World Environment and into the realm beyond the Natural and the parameters restricting structural design are ....unlimited, really. They only stand a self-standing examination of existence. Belief=Existence. Its a Strange New World place.

My view is that in the religious domain the memes are "blessed" or "endowed" with unique intelligence like real world things are given existence form in the Natural World by empirical truth of being.

Here is something significant that occurred to me at this very point of writing this blog entry.....
I have blogged previously about Memes.
In fact, it was the second entry dated 2/15/2011 in this blog of more than a thousand entries to this point. The concept of Meme, but not often the word itself has woven itself into the fabric of this blog. Another thing that I have from time to time acknowledged in this blog is "Peak Thought" that occurs annually around Thanksgiving with a one month progressive build up and an month of tapering. Statistically demonstrated by look at monthly frequency of blog entries as well as their complexity of structural thought relationship connections in content. Its annual cycle like a compulsion that I can't explain has amazed me for 50 years. I can only relate its origin to the frequency and severity of migraine headaches that I had from age 10 to 50 but stopped after 50.
So....At this point maybe I have reached Peak Thought and strangely I find it takes me back to a Peak Thought time in mid December 2011. A return to Granular Level but with a far greater comprehension of the role that Object: Granular Level plays in the structure of things..

And.....Things Conceptual Blessed by Reality consistent with the Real Physical World?
Thing:Conceptual:Social that is Verb:SoBlessed as a function of RealWorld that it becomes a rock solid granular concept on which the Social Structure system is constructed.
It is like climbing a mountain on a bike like I have done so many times in hundreds of thousands of miles of riding since age 43. Tough climb to the top with glorious payback on the other side with the exhilaration of going down so fast physically as a function of gravity and stored energy going up but continuing a Concpetual Climb upward equally fast as a function of comprehension.
Hard to explain but that is where I discover I am at in Time/Space/Me
