Post Election re-thinking along this line.
In the course of the 20th Century Industrial Age we put control of the machines we created into the hands of the individual. Call it "Hands On". Hands on the steering wheel for example. A direct link from the steering wheel to where the car would go. Feet on the gas to go faster, off the gas to go slower, on the brake when necessary. Hands on the stick shift before that was taken over by the machine. Used to be at the beginning of the age it was hands on the crank to get the car started, advance lever on the spark.
1957. Half way through the century I first experienced the joy of hands on control of a Ford. Direct connection of a complex machine where all the component systems are in direct relationship.... directed by me. Directed to anywhere I wanted to go. Not built by me but for me. A kid of 14.
It is not until much later in life (still) standing at 73 that I take the long view back to see what I built and operated for myself in the conceptual domain. My Life. Much of it was built for me like the components of a car. Sometimes I wonder just how much of me is me, of my own creation, not someone else's thoughts, logic and reason that I chose to incorporate making me a composite of my heroes. Whatever went into that personal stew pot that is me took on its own unique content. Much of it the raw major ingredients. The spice however , that small amount of seasoning that made the difference added to pretty much what was like most everybody else's stew, was me. The product of my creation? A choice of something that is not a creation of my own drawing something out of conceptual nothingness but a choice to throw in something already existing on the shelf.
Where is this real/conceptual idea of a car and its control evolving to an analogous conceptual system subject to our macro or my micro design and control going?
What am I driving at?

I see it, comprehend it fully and can climb beyond the top of the tree to get to it....only....not just this morning.........
The end point....of all of this......the final point of where it will go without filling in all the supporting step by step links to get there. To get from hands on the wheel to where rubber meets road in the analogy of a physical system we create to a more conceptual system we create free from past tight physical binding through abstraction to a more purely conceptual domain but always with a chain of linkage back to the origins of tight physical to logical binding?
We are creating physical device systems that are increasingly transferring physical control by our hands to logical control by extraction of our thinking to that of physical systems operating on our abstract thinking nature and function.
Cars will drive us, physically. Conceptually the same way we drive ourselves in a car but through artificial intelligence. Out best intelligence applied to a conceptual software system applied through a hardware computer system to drive a physical machine.
At the macro level we create and control the conceptual software system that implements relationships that puts its hands on the wheel for us at the micro level of one person and one car. At the micro level that person.......................
(or pay load like a pizza because a person is no longer necessary because the physical/logical binding relationship of a person to a car has been conceptually detatched) .............
...........at the micro level the car is driving us (or a pizza because we are no longer a controlling entity just another thing being conveyed independent of its of its entity nature or control......
Conveyed subject entirely to the control of a conceptual/mechanical system designed for us that we do not have either think about to operate or perhaps even not have an opportunity granted by the system administrator to intervene and operate ourselves using human intelligence.
Our political system, our monetary system and other conceptual systems that spring from our human conceptual abstractions of intelligence have become so distantly remote and logically disconnected and removed from their linking binding to a physical entity relationship to the extent that they are driving us and systemically out of control.
Those systems will remain out of control until we forge an integrate tight conceptual operating system in control of them based on the truth of a secure proof blockchain type linkage from the top down and the bottom up that we all understand at least in the truth of concept if not in general actual or extreme detail at the technical level to get us where we want to go.
The place to start to get it right is an Artificial Intelligent Monetary System.
If we create a driverless car with an AI system to get us where we want to go then we can do the the same for a Monetary System that is the means by which we make our social decisions by a vehicle called.......
............................The Medium of Exchange...........that gets us where we want to go on the micro and macro level.
