Deschutes County DIAL Interactive Map

Deschutes County Assessor tax records contain a vast amount of information related directly to  property taxlots in the county.  The geography of the entire County is divided into taxlot divisions.  Proof of that statement is this test:

Put your cursor anywhere on the map and click.  It returns an individual property record.  Do a sample random test to discover exceptions.  If the cursor lands on anything that returns "No Information" such as the Deschutes River (except for a river portion ownership such as Mirror Pond).  The reason for "No Information" is probably self evident.  The Assessor discovers a few "No Information" taxlot records each year identified as "orphans" and investigates them.  The rule is that every square foot of Deschutes County is eligible for  potential for property tax.

The DIAL Map covers the entire geography of Deschutes County and with the mere click of a cursor on any point of the map returns specific taxlot information.  That taxlot box information has two selection options:
"View Account Information for this taxlot"
and
"Zoom to"

Interactive geographical maps are an excellent point of entry to a vast number of geo-related categories of information.  The DIAL Map offers many ways to enter the map.  Another way to enter the Map is to go to its Zoom Tool and use it to Zoom in on any selected portion of the map. Try Bend.  Click anywhere on a closer look zoom to Bend.

When the slider bar Zoom Tool gets to a certain zoom view point a taxlot overlay appears on map displaying each taxlot boundary.  Click within any taxlot boundary area to see its unique property tax record information.
