Possession in a fundamental conceptual relationship that Business Law is all about. Things bought and paid for with some medium of exchange. Maybe the basic rule of the business law conceptual structure is: "Nothing is Free". Things always require an exchange of something between two or more ownership entities.

No problem! The Feds have all the info. It is available to law enforcement with a subpoena. That is a joke. The cops have been bought off. The only way to catch the bad guys is a good guy with a gun. That means a single citizen access to public information regarding the personal identity of a beneficial owner. Ownership and an accounting trail that is public knowledge. "Personal Identity" being the anonymous public record identifier of a real human being related to their ownership of things. Things being whatever is defined to be legally required and mandatory for inclusion in the Beneficial Ownership of Things system. It is an extraordinary data base of linked public information about me and what I own. All counties in the USA have some kind of accessible data base like this. Some might not have a public searchable record like my county but if they all did and were compiled on map of the USA a click anywhere on the map would bring up a state overlay. A click on a state would bring up a county overlay with an index of various overlays to be selected for presentation. A click on Property Overlay would bring up a tax lot overlay for the county. A click anywhere would bring up a property ownership record.
The entire geographic area of the USA can be drilled down to "Ownership" of a specific granular unique geographic unit called taxlot. Every unit should be traceable to a beneficial owner. The public is quickly learning the joy of Google Maps to find geographic places as well as how to get there and information about them. That geographic framing is a model for creating a Point of Entry to maps of conceptual things. Google Maps is setting a real world geographic frame of reference to enter and get around an analogous Information Age World. Understanding that whole conceptual world in the same way as we are learning to look at and get around our real world.

Who owns what? Some kind of entity has to be involved in ownership and the exercise of rights to ownership and the conveyance of ownership.
Who is that "some kind of entity"? Ownership is something tightly bound to law. The bigger the value of the thing owned the more it is involved with law and its administration to protect ownership rights in the Ownership System. The way I see it the first division conceptual split of Ownerhip is Public and Private. Public being government at any level and Private being.....everything else by default.
PublicOwnership is decomposed to various levels of official governance ownership but regardless of the level of entity decomposition the beneficial owner is collectively WeThePeople. The most granular level of that collective entity is a Person:USA:Citizen:Living. Interesting to look at it that way. The logical conclusion is that the moment a Person is by law deemed to exist it has rights of beneficial ownership of all things in the PublicDomain as a PersonUSACitizen:Child. Entities that are not living have legal ownership of real and conceptual property. These entities however are all composed of real individual owners and benefactors of what is owned under the protection of law. The benefit of entity ownership value in the Private Sector accrues ultimately in all cases to a unique living person. That entity value may be shared jointly among others but each own a piece of the rock.
New Rule: The ultimate owner of all things valued and protected in the legal system of the Public and Private Law is a unique living person having direct beneficial ownership. That is the rule to identify who owns what. Ownership of everything in a legal system that protects ownership must structured by that legal system on the unique identity of each and every the living person having ownership of record. Everything owned is owned by some living person and can be traced to that person.
Interesting thought. What about trusts that carry out the intent of ownership of dead people. Dead people continue to be the beneficial owners in spirit existence.

If both our Public and Private social system scheme of things was structured with the ability to know exactly who owns (on a legal need to know control) what and how much in a legal system that administers the ownership of all things in both Public and Private sectors....
