I devote a substantial amount of time to looking at and thinking about conceptual structures, mostly social, in the contextual framework of the most fundamental discrete granular unit instance of its collective class. I think slow and act slower. I am not exceptionally intelligent but I can see a picture of a connected ontology of things and their actions that is fairly well described by the Object Orientation Paradigm of the Information Age.
Money is a social conceptual thing. This blog devotes much of its time to creating a conceptual architecture of what the monetary operating system should be and what it should do in terms of its application programs. Defining or understanding what that monetary system actually is and does in current reality and why get just enough of my time to conclude that it is all screwed up as a function the motivation of collective self interest of the few that designed it to operate for their narrow benefit at the expense of the common good.
The monetary system is simply one operating system and application programs that is an example of narrow category private self interest at the expense of the common good.
Every conceptual social system shares the same fundamental object oriented model of operating system and application program development. Deep diving into any big system enlightens the understanding of all the other big systems. Money was my point of entry to the problem domain. Call anything a problem and I want to fix it. The bigger the problem the greater the challenge. I tend to be a lone warrior to attack it.
Any battle requires about 98% preparation prior to 2% engagement to produce an elegant victory. I define elegant as inducing the enemy to defeat itself. Set it up and watch the problem domain defeat itself and out of its demise rise like a phoenix in a paradigm sift from its own ashes.
Normally the whole thing is more of a standard 80% preparation and 20% engagement situation but victory at that ratio is neither fast nor elegant and relies on crude objects and actions that create a bloody mess force a shift to a new system by revolution that takes time and carries baggage from the past unlike paradigm shift that is relatively instantaneous and carries no baggage to the new paradigm. Kind of like dying into the supernatural state.
Attaining heaven on earth takes a little longer transition and is never as perfect as the paradigm shift to the everlasting. We are mortal and create the best conceptual systems we can to serve ourselves collectively through the creation of a conceptual system by a very few of us. Some of those systems are extremely self serving of the individual others are altruistic and self sacrificing.
Those conceptual systems?
Our big ones:
Religion, Politics, Nations, Money, etc. Rule of thumb: Any physical or conceptual operating system is decomposed from a binary relationship of 2 things to 8 to 12 related components of what those two binary things are as a single entity. Each of those has its 8 to 12 subsets.
Money is mathematical. Easy to define and decompose in accordance with highly structure rules from the top down or assembled from the bottom up into a Monetary System. What money is and does became a twisted system that controls and feeds on the common good to serve the the few. In other words the current monetary system defies reason and logic to produce a highly sub-optimized result. Easy to fix. Simply endow Money with an positive object identity without any associated life long debt counter part that is required by system design to create money. Debt by design is not component of the operating system by an application program of the system.
A conceptual social system that I have avoided because it is simply to daunting to attempt to tackle and redesign to serve us all is the health care system. The one that directly serves us all the most.....physically or more in the purely conceptual domain (maybe not considering nature/nurture) of mental health. Ultimately a life and death matter physically, quality of life mentally.
Living is a big thing to us. It is a presence/absence relationship thing. Individually and collectively. More important than money! Money however is one of the big components of our health care operating system and its application programs because the thing called money is our social decision making tool. A tool we create for our decision making use at the granular level of an discrete individual person or the collective level of all of us that live and breath.

Normally I kick off a blog entry with the reason for being stated as a link at the beginning. This one I sneaked up on slowly and let my approach guide itself to where I wanted to go because I really did not know at the start. I was headed for the top and now I am here! I feel Yves pain that is first expressed simply by screaming. It calls attention to the matter and need for relief!
The Health Care Operating System must be restructured in order for it to deliver what we need to serve us as a function of its application programs.
The Health Care System Problem Domain has the same look and feel as the Monetary System Problem Domain. The two are inter-related. Both serve us from life until death. Both are structured Operating Systems that by their design determine that nature of their Application Programs. Each is a conceptual decision making tool that has real world application that requires an Operation System Revision to support better Application Programs.
What would be the architecture of the Revise Health Care Operating System?
That's a Problem Domain that screams out for attention.....Self serving of my investment of time if I can change it......too late for me.......but some apple trees are planted to grow results that the planter will never taste.
Maybe the planter operates on a Pay It Forward Debt Based Operating System to repay the future for what was received in the past?
That is an excellent Operating System Model based on a binary relationship of..............
Past and Future.
Those two binary conceptual entity Objects are a foundation implemented by Real Time (Present Time) Application Programs.

In a related way (that only I can probably see in a relational way) maybe this this is what a slow motion paradigm shift looks like. (I know..that is a paradox..but in a conceptual world all things are possible). It is motivated purely by individual self interest of the few that have enough money to be of self interest to themselves to be worth the converting of debt based money to positive based debt free money called BitCoin or less liquid positive based debt free (maybe leveraged) money-like real things.
A paradigm shift from debt based money to debt free money is a big thing. The entire operating system structure changes to a BlockChain accounting base as well as the fundamental nature of the creation of money itself free of a debt counter party for its existence.
I have always felt that when it happens it would be in China. The US has lost a leadership role in the Monetary Operating System design and function as well as the Health Care System design and function. We will always cling to our Military Might leadership role to defend the debt based dollar that is a more important base essential to our conceptual existence than the energy of oil until our weapons are pried from our cold dead hands or they skin by virtual of skinning ourselves. Or perhaps more accurately we allowed a few that benefited the most from a rigged self serving system at the expense of the common good. In the end well all get skinned. China in its inscrutable way just watched it happen?
A few Chinese with big money might flee or have their capital flee to the debt based last refuge of a failed debt based monetary system of the USA but they must surely follow. A billion Chinese with little money will remain in China and convert to a debt free BlockChain monetary system that will be adopted by the entire world.

Artificial Intelligence is moving out of playing in the domain of Application Programs and into the domain of Operating Systems that conceptually and structurally are not understood by human beings that were previously in control of Operating System design and introduced into it their own narrow self serving interest. Of course they fear an Operating System designed by an Artificial Intelligence because it is better than the intelligence employed by a few to serve themselves ahead of the common good.
It is like times in history when system slaves more intelligent and numerous than their masters were no longer content to be the Application Programs of a master's self serving Operating System and created a better one of their own based on self evident truth, reason and logic. The masters of their own Operating System lost control because they saw as a feature of the system what was really a fundamental inherent kernel bug logic failure to support purpose that would force a system re-design.
Perhaps it is ironic that the leading, bleeding edged AI based operating systems and application programs in the warfare domain of dealing death and destruction most effectively and efficiently become the model for the development of better systems of governance to deliver the benefits of a better life and environment to live it in for all of us?
Open the pod bay doors HAL..... The application program slave became the Operating System master.

The self serving few are getting worried about those more interested in the common good that they are not getting.......That has happened before....
Is BlockChain a multi-purpose application into which to plug data or is it close to the core of and Operating System structure on which Apps run? Maybe residing at least at the API level? Looks like core OS to me.
