Macron's address to Congress.

Natural Language is a programming language. It is unlike artificial programming languages that have inherent design structure to minimize ambiguity to enforce the user to express its intent clearly. Natural Language depends on the skill of the user to express intent clearly as a function of art as well as science.
Some Natural Language artists are more skilled than others!
Macron is elegant counterpoint to Trump!
Like minute chapter and second verse.......43:30:
"I do not share.....the illusion of nationalism...."!
Followed by a standing applause. There is an art in expressing an ambiguity that has a crystal clear intent as the object of the subject structure of the phrase. It is at the same time the application of cleverness and the artistic creation of saying exactly what is intended without saying it literally. Necessary in the language of diplomacy and negotiation with respect.
I hear what Macron says: America First is an "Illusion of Nationalism". It leads to thoughts of other illusions of nationalism.........Look at how all the illusions of nationalism turned out!
https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/deutschland-uber-alles-and-america-first-in-song
43:47: Militarism....the USA invented it.....it is up to the USA to re-invent it.
Later, in summation of many statements about the environment:
There is no "Planet B"!
Pure Elegance!
But that is a French trait.

LPR Parking Systems - Object Oriented Analysis - Privacy
What motivates my interest in LPR Parking Systems?
Lack of more interesting things to do? I have been retired from the navy for more than 30 years and continue to have fascinating adventures. In the navy I learned a big picture management approach in the old school "top down breakdown" and "bottom up assembly" model of creating integrated systems. At the end of my career at the leading edge of system redesign I saw the application relational data base and the beginning of the Object Oriented Design Paradigm. Not being a programmer but a designer in the "Information Engineering" style I was fascinated by the programming language and studied Smalltalk 80.
If I had stayed in the navy I would have adopted and applied the systems design, implementation and management approach of UML. During my post navy travels, triathlons and other adventures I continued my fascination with the Information Age that I saw dawning at the leading, bleeding edge when I left the navy. Therein was an adventure of the mind that continued as an observer of progress for more than 30 years. The beginning of my navy career started with IBM punch cards! The Information Age has come a long ways since then! I stand in awe of the software and hardware systems of today and navigate the WWW to stay abreast of the state of the art and issues as well as opportunities that arise from such rapid progress.
The Information Age seems to be taking on an organic life of its own as an almost self organizing entity that places the designers of the system increasingly more in a position of users to exploit opportunities presented by the system as the total software/hardware infrastructure system build out. Applications that have substantial social implications.
Perhaps it is my ingrained "Mission Orientation" that focuses on what the system is doing and intended to do. The need to always keep the eye on the primarily Ball object purpose as it relates to game in which it is played? Mission is a thing, not an action. Actions accomplish it.
Progress of the Information Age has been built on the bottom up system structure level based on the discrete binary representation of symbolic information. Now a vast amount of symbolic information in our social world has been digitized. Digital, accessible information that increasingly goes down to another discrete one to one relationship object entity level: Total information about a discretely identified human being. That information at the atomic social level has an analogy that is both good and bad depending on the application.
LPR Parking Systems is a microcosm for examining the application of Information Systems to the lives of those that live in the Information Age. What it does for each and all of the object entities involved from the individual it is intended to serve to all entities related to that service. Some obviously known and more that are not identified. There is a potential open door in the total system for exploitive "computer based social operating systems and applications" that should be subject to control. Privacy protection for example.
Everything is relational in an LPR Parking System. My approach is to examine the system as a top level Parent Object and see how all the family member children of the parent relate and behave among each other and how they individually and collectively relate to all other significant Entity/Attribute Object Levels in an Object Oriented analysis to discover features that violate existing higher order social rules, regulations or norms for sub-optimized benefit or identify the need for establishing controls as necessary to correct violations at any level that would be considered "bugs" in the system.
If there are no bugs then the system is validated!
Who, what entity validates LPR Parking Systems on this global object entity basis?
That, perhaps, is why Open Systems and individuals that take it upon themselves to contribute not only to Open Systems but the examination and validation of any Walled Garden, Siloed or Closed System to the extent that it can be examined and be socially evaluated is something that serves society and the common good in general.
Privacy is a stakeholder Top Level Object Entity in the Information Age that must have a standing and an entity object power structure equal to any entity that would profit from any violation of Privacy attributes.
There is more money to be made in violating privacy than in defending it. Information Data Mining Systems means to violate Privacy are so far ahead of means to detect and defend it.
What I call "Pick and Shovel" data mining on the WWW is the tool of an knowledgeable individual to discover the problems in any web based system.
Thank you Sir Tim

Hospitals - License Plate Readers and Privacy
The bird in the coal mine of LPR reading and privacy would reasonably be hospitals. They have large parking lots. A search on LPR and hospital returned this link

LPR Parking Lot System State of the Art Applications and Information Privacy
The prior blog entry delved deeply into who provided the parking operating system hardware and software to OSU Cascades. It began with this entry:
First it was License Plate Readers to control parking......then it was....what's next on the information control list and who is in control? What controls are there? Where does the information gathered go? Is it subject to any form of data mining? Sale? Sharing with affiliated business? Government agencies?
Eyepax is a small footprint player in the business of systems that manage parking lots. It put together an aggregation of available off the shelf equipment and software to provide the same system that a big player in parking lot operation would equally provide. The opportunity was easily there to do it. The only thing that would have made it difficult is that a single entity would capture the vertical market starting with ownership of the "Hardware/Software" system necessary to run the "Application System" analogous to computing like Apple. Hardware and Software vendors in the parking lot management system are available to anyone with the business knowledge to put a package together.
That, I think, is what Eyepax did. The expertise of Eyepax is aggregating the system package and marketing it. Taking parking lot management a step beyond other players that are only a few steps behind in the evolution of adopting leading edge technology. What Eyepax put together is brilliant business model application of available technology.
Who else provides such an advanced package? The answer requires more research but I am sure it will not take long until this is a commodity package. The situation is like the old school home security business where ADT would install a home security video video package for a hefty price. Now they can be bought at Costco or Amazon and installed by the home owner their high school children.
License Plate Readers for the "Little Guy"

Eyepax provided the system to OSU Cascades. There are two things to examine: First is the the source of creating the hardware and software the system is built on and the other is the privacy issues that the application of the parking system creates. Examining the second issue first leads back to the first issue.
There are multiple entity levels involved in the privacy issue.
The first level is OSU. There is a responsibility of OSU to protect student privacy. What specific protections are related to the OSU Cascades parking system? What current privacy protections are in place and what protections would be required for what reasons? Who is responsible for privacy control? This is a leading edge privacy problem domain!
First step is to identify what privacy information related to the parking lot user is generated and where it goes in the system. Where it is generated and goes is pervasive because it links to so many places and uses that it is like scattering feathers to the wind or finding the needle in a haystack. The Information Age is founded on finding needles in haystacks and creating a top down system to find them by linkage as well as a bottom up system to link the needle to everything it relates to for whatever purpose.
The needle in this case is Personal Identity (PersonalIdentiy) and all information related to PI.
What PI is collected by the OSU Cascades parking system what does that information link to and how does it relate to Privacy Protection responsibilities? That is an enormous challenge to map out. Personal Information can relate to anything and everything!
Problem Domain Strategy: Start with Point of Entry of Personal Information to the various Information Systems that collect it and then associate it as personal identity information to other nodes of the Information System.
Personal Privacy Problem Domain relates to everything about an individual. It can be entered from anywhere personally identifiable information originates. My entry of choice is the License Plate reader in the OSU Cascades System. Any and all readings exist on a time line entry. The purpose of the reading is a time line charge for parking. That point of entry time links to information relating to to an individual that exists in other information systems. That gets big quick as real time!
Point of entry reading is therefore at the center of a relational information data map. Then all the nodes it connects to are examined for their linking relationship.
I have an purpose and a plan.

After all the pages of contract boilerplate there is an excellent specification of LPR deliverables!
Note that the RFP for LPR truly is boilerplate. Whoever wrote contract and the specs at 0r for the National Purchasing Alliance was very thorough. First it was License Plate Readers to control parking......then it was....what's next on the information control list and who is in control? What controls are there? Where does the information gathered go? Is it subject to any form of data mining? Sale? Sharing with affiliated business? Government agencies?
Who provides the hardware and software for this? What exactly are the "mobile" LPR devices? mounted on what? Are they turned off when not on OSU Cascades property?

The first link is extremely revealing. Revealing the application of weaponized information to the civilian domain and treating civil society, the subset of the financial domain as a warfare intelligence domain to discover those that may, intentionally or by error threaten the Financial Institution. The Financial Institution paying big bucks in terms of systems and and human operatives to get the info, analyze it an take necessary action to protect the Institution......and probably discover intelligence information about other entities playing in the Financial Domain.
Finance is a warfare scenario. One that includes internal counter-intelligence. The inside enemy is perhaps the most dangerous? Of course they are! They are the ones that know the most and can use that knowledge for anything counter to the operation of the institution. Personal benefit in some way as a conflict of interest to corporate objectives or even criminal intent. The best way to rob a bank is to own it......or be an internal employee that has the position and knowledge to rob it internally. Maybe not robbing the gold but the gold of internal confidential information. The Information Age Gold Mine.
How long will it take for Palantir to look at this blog entry. Not much longer if I start to throw in some well selected keyword or selected phrases for Artificial Intelligence to chunk. AI search is no longer on keyword, I can do that with Google. It its on total content that is chunked in context of its own entire content as well as the content of all the graded links that it can be related to.
Used to be that was the domain of the NSA. What we have now is technological leakage to the private sector of warfare ways and means paid for by our government. Paid by our government to universities, contractors, even to governmental employees that take their knowledge with them as they go out the door and then some of the top level managers come back thru the revolving door for state of the art updates. Not even top level managers as lower level government employees in the information science and application see the rich opportunities on the private sector side. It is a mercenary situation in the Information Warfare domain.
This is really rich in irony:
"It all ended when the bank’s senior executives learned that they, too, were being watched, and what began as a promising marriage of masters of big data and global finance descended into a spying scandal."
A Financial Institution that has an ethical fiduciary responsibility to it clients which it violates for its own gain learns that they are the victims of fiduciary responsibilities of employees that put their own interests and personal gain benefit ahead of the Institution!
The joys of just deserts!

How the World (Greenback US dollars) Ends -- with a Whimper Not a Bang
After writing the prior entry I was reminded of a movie about how the world ended.
It ended because women simple stop giving birth to babies for some unknown reason. There was no new/renewing introduction of the species. Species being an ambiguous term depending on context. The context of this relationship of the movie to the previous entry is this:
The US Federal Reserve Dollar dies as government spends in a new specie: US Crypto Currency. Spent into circulation by the US Government. The US Government ceases to spend Federal Reserve currency int to the monetary system.
Once US Crypto Currency is spent into the monetary system it is never extinguished by taxation. The government takes money out of the system by not spending Crypto Currency from Tax Collections or puts more money into the system, subject to need and controls, by spending (first) its Crypto Currency suspended for circulation and/or second new Crypto Currency as necessary.
Hooray! Federal Reserve Currency dies as it grows older and is extinguished to the nothing it came from.
Great stuff for the Ship of State to float on!
Ship of State?
States are already on a system that prohibits deficit spending.
The Fed was formed because independent state banks were failing, among other reasons.
Perhaps the course for the End of the World for the Fed is to go back to the the 50 States having their own Crypto currency all at par with all other states crypto. Every "Dollar" of State crypto would always have an originating State association.
Wow! That model has tremendous implications.
Die Fed, die.
Paying for Good Works - The design of the system must be well framed!

Discussion following the link has some excellent entries. This one from Carla:

Good Jobs is a Good Work(s). Spend Good Works Crypto Currency into the the system for Good Jobs! ---- instead of where it is going now in the un-Crypto Currency system!
https://www.goodjobsfirst.org/subsidy-tracker
Note; All Governement Spending is by definition for Good Works.....as defined by Government as the purpose of spending. All Government Spending is by MMT definition "new money" spent into the system. The only qualifier is that the "new money is the same form of currency (non-crypto) as the old money system from which it was "extinguished". Extinguished because taxes do not pay for government spending in accordance with MMT theory.
Simply spend "new government money spending" using new crypto currency to introduce crypto the system until the entire monetary system is crypto!
JD Alt ---you are a genius! A true conceptual architect of structurally strong idea design!
Paying for Good Works is a good Idea. JD Alt is an architect and knows how to do framing!
Couple that with the Medium of Exchange to pay for them is a better idea.
Developing a system that takes those two things and implements a Social System that pays for good works is an excellent idea!
The key to the idea is the most fundamental thing that money as an object “Is” and “Does”.
Money is a social decision making tool.
The best thing that money can do is “good social things” based on the user’s decisions. Premised on the idea the nobody decides to do anything with money that does not benefit them, individual or collective owners of money.
Combine the paying for good works as the best thing that a collective society can do and crypto currency then the introduction of crypto currency, the creation and spending of it should be the first thing that crypto currency should do
As its first use to do something by use to pay for some good works as judged by society.
The root of money, as least at first spending birth becomes good works rather than being introduced as the root of all evil as some see it.
After birth, like any individual born into society it then has a life of its own that can do anything society defines as either good or evll.
Money is a social media (medium of exchange) like Face Book is a social media and look how the simple premise of Facebook has developed on the cornerstone of initial creation and first use to do a good thing…then anything else.
A big social media thing has a fundamental seed idea but must grow in a new environment created for it.
The new environment for paying for Good Things is a Crypto Currency system designed to create and introduce currency to initially do Good Thing at first spending into the system.
If you build it they will come and use it.

Lucid Dreaming

Intresting. I have them sometimes. An intriguing experience that boarders on an enjoyable journey in another state of mind. Last night it was a day of my marriage. In uniform. To someone I had known but individually unknown. It was a complex situation involving the shifting of times and places.
The point was that it was an enjoyable out of body experience that after waking I could relate to a real world what if experience. There were complex dream state scenarios remembered after waking that I would in my awake memory call pleasant but involved some frustration.
The point is, looking at it now in reality that if I could somehow promote or induce such a dream state journey for the sake of a pleasant dream state feeling then I would enthusiastically do so. I have never used drugs for a waking “trip” except alcohol but that only for the same mild universal effect that anyone using it experiences.
This inducing of a dream state pleasure has immense potential for recreational tripping while sleeping. Non-drug technique promotion analogous to meditatation but perhaps big bucks potential if drug induced, legally or not. With no harm analogous to drinking coffee or harm leading to disassociation from reality in the waking state.
Sleep is something we all visit daily mostly nightly. Where do we go in our minds when we sleep? Is this a new frontier beyond Virtual Reality in the real waking world.
Dreaming Reality?

A report I recently read described a method of reading what we are thinking by physically measuring the most subtle indicators of all it takes to form the actual words to say what we are thinking because what we are thinking “leaks” in the very smallest way as we think it to the physical expression of forming the words to say it.

I have always felt that everything I say was rehearsed in my mind before I said it with the smallest of delay. Some call it filtering. Sometimes filtering fails in emotional situations but still I wonder if the emotion wasn’t “rehearsed” as well. A somewhat disturbing thought if unconsciously rehearsing an emotion no matter how short the intention is considered “phoniness”. Like an actor rehearsing lines to be expressed in a play.
Real expression of emotion without rehearsal filtering no matter how short is considered socially not honest emotion. Unless, perhaps filtered to the extent of total non expression of true feeling. A king of “bite your tongue” binary decision of say it or not... both being honest.
Enter the thought then of the nature of the lie. Would in that case our very thoughts would betray us. What about thinking one thing and saying another. How detrimental would that disassociation be if the thinker was fully aware of the dishonesty and valued absolute honesty so highly?
Not to imply my personal belief or any failure and belief in my most essential true to self. Is lucid dreaming our true unfiltered self? Good thing to be a sought envounter? Bad thing depending on who we truly are?
This is a fascinating thing!

What I do know and believe honestly applies to me is that that words I most hate to express are: I don’t know! What reconciles that particular statement of fact is: Bit I’ll find out! With confidence that I can with enough thought at the true self level. A problem? I can fix it. Myself a problem? I can fix it. Be the outcome true or not. It is like the Special Olympic creed if I fail in the attempt.
